I'm submitting my first press release for my site tomorrow :) I'm using PRWeb's Media Visibility plan and I contributed a little extra to get the #3 spot.

I had someone from Digital Point write me up this PR

Free Online Education Resources Help Students Prepare for Spring AP Exams

A free online education community at www.Course-Notes.org is offering free AP course outlines, study guides, and more to help high school students prepare for their AP exams being given this month.

Chicago, IL – May 1, 2007 – May marks AP (advanced placement) exam season for many high school students hoping to gain college credit for their advanced high school coursework. With exam times looming, students are being offered a free and comprehensive collection of AP course outlines, study guides, and more at www.Course-Notes.org, to help them prepare for exams. The site also offers a popular AP student community, where students can get help with homework or discuss various course concepts with other students and site administrators.

"More schools are offering a greater variety of AP courses, so it's not uncommon for students to be taking several AP courses in one year, according to Don Yanek of Chicago’s Northside College Prep. “This creates a real crunch time for them at the end of April and the start of May to begin to prepare for these exams. It's great that students have a reliable central site for a large assortment of quality preparation materials in addition to the College Board published materials. Having access to this free information takes a little bit of the pressure off the students."

It’s not too late for AP students to get help before their AP exams this month. The online community attached to Course-Notes.org boasts nearly 50,000 members, where AP students are able to interact with each other and get tutoring or have general course questions for their AP coursework. Students also share their experiences about the AP course and testing process in general, making the community a quality feedback-gathering tool for students considering enrolling in AP classes.

Originally launched in 2002 as a portal for AP US History students, the site recently added to its growing list of course materials by including Math courses (such as Calculus and Statistics), Science Courses (such as Chemistry and Physics), and Art History resources. The site currently contains over 1500 articles, including outlines, vocabulary terms, practice quizzes, and more, covering 16 different AP course subjects.

I didn't realize there was a pool for me... I thought everyone already bet their money on you :p

Nevermind, that pool ended when you posted this

No cars, no booze (I don't drink), no drugs (don't do them), no gambling (I lost interest), no women (I don't even pay for gay porn- I make my own), no toys, no houses, no vacations, nothing!

Good luck, we'll digg you. Just don't tell anyone at DP or they'll report you. send me a pm if you'd like, I might forget.

Make sure to let us know how PRWeb works out for you. I have checked out the service a few times, I would like to know the bang/buck ratio.

Thanks for the offer of support guys :) Much appreciated! Its seriously crunch time for me right now. Once the AP tests come and go, my site is pretty much done as far as traffic goes until classes start up again in august/september.

I'll definitely make a post about PRWeb. At the very least, I have the iframe at the bottom of the PR so that whenever someone views the PR, I'll get 4 high paying CPM ad views out of it. If enough people view it, it might even pay off the distribution service PRWeb charges.

Give me a yell if you want me to digg it for you.... Gotta help your fellow wickedfire members!

I'll throw you a digg, PM me when ready.

Don't forget to report back with the results of the press release.

Yup, I've already sent it into like 10 different editors at the tribune and 4-5 at the suntimes.

I'm also in talks with an NBC 5 Chicago editor and they might be doing a TV segment on my site :)
