Free Online Education Resources Help Students Prepare for Spring AP Exams
A free online education community at www.Course-Notes.org is offering free AP course outlines, study guides, and more to help high school students prepare for their AP exams being given this month.
Chicago, IL – May 1, 2007 – May marks AP (advanced placement) exam season for many high school students hoping to gain college credit for their advanced high school coursework. With exam times looming, students are being offered a free and comprehensive collection of AP course outlines, study guides, and more at www.Course-Notes.org, to help them prepare for exams. The site also offers a popular AP student community, where students can get help with homework or discuss various course concepts with other students and site administrators.
"More schools are offering a greater variety of AP courses, so it's not uncommon for students to be taking several AP courses in one year, according to Don Yanek of Chicago’s Northside College Prep. “This creates a real crunch time for them at the end of April and the start of May to begin to prepare for these exams. It's great that students have a reliable central site for a large assortment of quality preparation materials in addition to the College Board published materials. Having access to this free information takes a little bit of the pressure off the students."
It’s not too late for AP students to get help before their AP exams this month. The online community attached to Course-Notes.org boasts nearly 50,000 members, where AP students are able to interact with each other and get tutoring or have general course questions for their AP coursework. Students also share their experiences about the AP course and testing process in general, making the community a quality feedback-gathering tool for students considering enrolling in AP classes.
Originally launched in 2002 as a portal for AP US History students, the site recently added to its growing list of course materials by including Math courses (such as Calculus and Statistics), Science Courses (such as Chemistry and Physics), and Art History resources. The site currently contains over 1500 articles, including outlines, vocabulary terms, practice quizzes, and more, covering 16 different AP course subjects.
