Biz Ops and PPV - 8436 Hits - 1% CTR and 0 Conversions

Feelin sorta froggy today so here's an even bigger tip. Notice I said tip not secret. Prepop off of the leads you capture yourself. I've seen an education email submit go over $30,000 in revenue in a day and I personally know 2 young pubs who have done over a million each in the same month with traffic from these types of networks. This requires a bit more communication and setup and a stricter structure around quality as the leads come in but jesus if you get this right I've had guys who have never made a dollar online take this technique and start producing revenue.

Let me break this down right quick so there is no confusion.

Communication - comes from whomever you are getting the offer from. Please get someone who knows what the fuck they are talking about because honestly as a pub (and not bashing the networks out there) but I explained this in boston ASE last year to 3 of the largest and they looked at me like I was fuckin crazy. If they dont know, you are dead before you begin. Communication starts with your manager finding out what you have an idea for and rounding up multiple offers.

YOU MUST HAVE MULTIPLE OFFERS.

If it's email submits or dating which are widely popular and particularly with the guys I know who prepop then you have to understand that these offers can face heavy scrubs no matter how legit or how good you think your traffic is. So it's better to have a stack of them to rotate and split the load thru.

Setup - Requires that you have some sort of rotator that will split say 5 offers 20% each giving them an equal flow. This also helps to find the actual best performer. Some guys will just go pick an email submit especially ones I've taught. They go right after an email submit thinking they are going to hit the gravy train. Not so. It requires testing just like everything else. Also, you need to get your prepop down for your offers. Email submits of course are simple to setup to prepop info to the offer but say you get a 4-5 field form dating offer and you have multiple datings offers. You can prepop any data you want over. For instance on your lander you capture the email and popped it over to the offer, that's great but you still have those other forms for the lead to fill out. Try it multiple ways but if you can pop ALL the forms of the offer from your capture list, you will rock n roll but the problem there lies in that the prospect has to fill that info out directly from your capture form. It's a swinging door so test.

Stricter Structure - Prepopping can get you shut down in a hurry if the quality doesnt back out for the advertiser. So that's again where communication lies. Get someone familiar with it, and get buddy-buddy because the amount of money that can be made quick is pretty retarded more so to publishers starting in ppv but even the experienced guys raise and eyebrow sometimes when I throw something their way.

Stop by the ASE booth in August, as this the rest of this conversation is better said out loud and not in text:cool2:

this thread started out like complete shit, and has since provided me enough PPV info to keep me occupied for weeks spending and making monies testing.

nice tips micker and ruck

What would you guys say that the maximum size of your LP should be?

800px width too big?

And what's a good max. height?

The LP has recieved 8436 hits, surely more than 1 person would have clicked though, they are all unique IP's..... I can see all the hits via P202.

Is anyone using PPV to promote Biz Ops and is there any insight they might be over to offer.

CPM is good for branding. If you're pushing traffic to a farticle you're just wasting your time.

First of all, how many people do you know that LIKE pop-anythings? The people who aren't smart enough to use something like ABP to block that crap aren't going to care about words on a screen.

If you want more than 0.00000001% of them to click over to the offer, you will have to captivate them with simple things. By that I mean shiny, pretty, colory...the kind of things that you probably daydream about.

The irony of CPM is that you need to be somewhat smart to get the mass of stupid people to act on the offer. Funny how it is...

i am feeling lucky

Don't you mean rucky?

What would you guys say that the maximum size of your LP should be?

800px width too big?

And what's a good max. height?

1000px wide will not cause any x-overflow (horizontal scrollbar) issues for 1024x768 and up. 780px is good if you want to be friendly to people who may still be using Windows 3.1 and have an 800x600 screen resolution. Height isn't so important, what matters more is how you arrange the content from top to bottom. Obviously, you will want to think about that.

If you take note of the fact that many people these days use low-power laptops called Netbooks, suddenly designing a website that uses oldschool shite like tables and less fairydust-CSS becomes the mark of someone who knows what REALLY is up.

Rules for a successful PPV campaign.

1)Dont sell anything that requires a user to reach for their credit card.
2)SIMPLE small forms.
3)Attention getting creatives.
4)SMALL CREATIVE SIZES

Seriously. Not one of those 9,000 people read one word of your farticle. Not a single one. Get mad, go smoke a cigarette and start working again.

How many fields are in the form? More than 1? scrap it.

Is the form right below the headline? If not re-design it.

Is the form in any way related to the sites you're targetting? If not re-design or re-target.

Split test and try and try again.

If you dont have conversion and testing data within ((10 * payout) / CPV) scrap it and start again.

Don't listen to this guys 1 and 2.
