BizOps keywords

So I'm trying to think of what kind of keywords someone would be searching for that would increase conversions for BizOps...

I'm thinking that people who would convert well are in a sense of 'urgency' in that they want to make money fast, easily, right now, TODAY. So I used those keywords: 'now' 'today' 'fast' 'easy' etc... what do you guys think?

Also, I feel as if action verb keywords are more likely to convert than gerunds. For instance, 'make money online' should convert better than 'making money online' because a person searching 'making money online' would be in the research phase, IMO, whereas a person searching 'make money online' would seem to be interested in doing that now. Of course, they could be in the research phase as well, but decided against including the vague 'how to.' Thoughts?

Another thing... I'm really stumped on the word 'free'

I know a lot of people put the word free as a negative for actual physical products, like acai pills, because people searching for free pills obviously wouldn't convert when they see the price tag of the pills.

But when it comes to BizOps, a lot of the offers are 'technically' free in the sense that you only pay S&H upfront, and THEN get rebilled. I see a lot of people emphasizing the word 'free' in their landing pages too.

So I'm wondering.. would it be wise to put 'free' in my negatives list? For now, I havent, in the hopes that people searching for 'free' will cough up the meager S&H fee if I emphasize that the kit itself is free in my LP.

Any thoughts?

If you're going to promote BizOpps I imagine you have a decent budget behind you, all of your questions can be answered with split-testing and some trial and error.

Put all of the keywords you can think of into a well structured campaign and weed out the duffers once you have the data.

I wouldn't say I have a decent budget; I was willing to spend up to around $200-300, but I've already shelled out around $80 due to poor keyword choices and shitty conversions due to a crappy LP.

I guess I'd be willing to go up to $500 but that'd be a lot to me (college student).

most will take your first born rather than give you credit for a lead.

is this what affiliates refer to as 'scraping' leads?

i.e. you get 10 people to convert, but they only recognize like 8 only and don't pay you for the other 2?

shaving.

hence the term "oh my balls are smooth today... mmm nothing like a good shave - oh noes they took my balls too :("

etc

oh yeah, shaving. are they really still doing this? I read a thread about bizops sucking recently, but i think Jon said it should get better with time.

Honestly, if you only have $200-$300, don't try bizopps.

It's a very competitive, high-cost niche, and you can burn through that cash VERY quickly without getting much data and you probably won't have made any money.

That's quite discouraging to hear, but that's not going to make me just walk away.

I'll make it.

The high volume generic keywords do convert quite well with bizops but will blow your budget so quickly and can be very hit and miss depending on the day and traffic. I learned that mistake.

Day part your campaign, think when people might be looking for that sort of stuff. Lunchbreaks at their crappy job? After putting the kids to bed? Target specific hours and make your budget go farther.

Nice.. I never thought of targeting the hours like that. Thanks!

Unfortunately, my offer is on hold with the advertisers... dammit!

If you still genuinely have that attitude after blowing $500 on this niche with little to no return, then I have full faith and confidence that you will succeed.

Eventually.

But honestly, bizopp clicks are expensive. The little data you gather will not likely provide any statistical significance. You can only hope to get lucky, and that's not running a business...that's gambling.

PS I <3 gambling.

ugh... my bizops twitter thing is on hold and all this bad press about bizops... the competition of this niche, etc are all making me want to bail ship.

it was a good learning experience, as I have a solid grasp on wordpress, what constitutes a good LP, altering html, etc... so I think I'm going to switch niches.

I think Im going to go with a physical product this time.

Alot of people are jumping ship on the BizOps. Though there is money to be made it is extremely hard to start in with a small budget.

I honestly suggest you look up a member on here called erect and use his service to get some good ideas of what to target.

If you have any questions feel free to PM them. Keep us posted on how you are doing and with anything someone can offer to help.

If my Twitter thing goes back on play, I may try to run it for a week or so and see where it takes me before I finally decide whether to make the jump or not.

As for the keywords service, I'm already using Erect's service. ;)

He gave me a sick $35 for 2 credits deal, and I've used my first credit on BizOps words and just as I was going through my report, all this bad press about BizOps started to appear :(

So I want to see where these new keywords take me before I finalize my decision.

Thanks for offering help!

Hey, don't worry too much about all this "bad press" that it has been getting. While there has been a bunch of bad press about it the people who have been following this all this news the closest have been... other affiliate marketers.

I bet you that the majority of the people in the country have no fucking clue. I bet you could go on the streets and ask people "What is the FTC?" and 9/10 of them wouldn't even know what those letters stood for, much what they talked about their latest conference. The 10% that do are smart and already have jobs and are not in your target demographic anyways!

People watch news about natural disasters, war, and pedophiles. Not about the federal trade commission.

yah, i guess. yeah there's really no reason why I shouldn't even try my campaign out first. I've revamped my entire LP and used erect's KW service, but just havent gotten around to atually launching it via PPC ads.

So once the press cools down I'm gonna launch my twitter campaign and see where it takes me.

As for now, I think I'm gonna start working on a new LP for a new niche. :D
