Blackberries Suck

i still stand by my 8 year old Tungsten E2 pda is much cooler and better than my iphone 4 in every way, but alas being a pda it can't make phone calls. :(
It can take a 64gb sd card. It has the same size of full color touch screen. Has a thousand times more apps and games including real player. All of the data and music and everything is stored directly on the sd card. It runs a lot faster. If it could be used as a phone and send texts i'd still use it. I don't know why palm OS went to complete shit once it got onto phones.

I used to preach BB'... like 7 years, had everything including the latest and greatest Torch.

Switch to the iPhone 4 a few months back, and no, i cannot type as fast, but holy fuck what a difference. I will never own a BB again.

Plus, everything I did with BBM, I do with What's App... and funny enough all my BB friends (here and abroad) have the app as well.

@ItsYoBuddy: Sprint phone? EVO 4g. It's the #2 phone out right now. Insanely fast, big screen, etc.

Yeah I think my friend has the HTC EVO phone or whatever. I was thinking about getting that but without the keyboard slide, just too bulky. I never liked the big phones because it seems like it would be awkward in your pocket.

FYI, you can replace that little ball thing in the middle last time I checked. It's a delicate piece to reinstall but not impossible if you needed to. There are web sites out there that sell replacement parts.

Otherwise show up at my house. I'm going to blow up all my blackberry crap and I'm sure you'll find some pieces left over.:ak:

Yeah I think sprint replaces it for free, but its just annoying. I was thinking about getting the sensor one in the middle, think thats the bold maybe?

Idk, I think I may have to finally make the switch from blackberry to a touch screen type of phone. Only thing that I don't like is the battery life with the EVO and the size.

I have the Bold 2 / Onyx aka 9700 ... Although its constantly freezing up on me, I hear its better than most blackberries...

and swipe you say? haha... install ssh on your android and see who gets farther.

What do you mean by "farther"? SSH with Android and Swype works fine for me.

I love my blackberry because of the email, size, easily type, and battery life. But I got the Curve with the ball in the middle and I can't move right with it anymore, it's getting extremely annoying. Not trying to hijack the thread, but any blackberry's or sprint phones you suggest? I kind of want the touch screen phones but I hear the battery life is horrible and you need to charge it 2-3 times a day. I could use my blackberry almost 2 days without charging it. Plus typing on a touch screen must be a pain.

No Problem, you can change it out I just did 1 month ago. I even did it myself and it super easy. I dont know about price in the U.S but I paid $10 here in Thailand for it.

It isn't too hard to take out and clean yourself following some instructions with pictures on BlackBerryForums dot com. I had to do it multiple times with my old BlackBerry. Some rollers that touch the ball get caked with dirt which can be scraped off, almost like the inside of an old roller ball style mouse.

we need a typing test app, is swipe really faster (and more accurate) than a physical keyboard. there was an android phone out (i think motorola??) that had a good looking keyboard on it. Seems like it didn't catch on for some reason.

absolutely hate it. I went from an iphone to a blackberry, probably the biggest phone mistake I've every made. Switching to verizon soon and going back to iphone...

I previously had a Curve and then a Bold. Got tired of the phone's memory leaks requiring a battery pull. The OS wasn't stable enough for me. Now I'm on Android and so far so good.

just got the EVO 4g, this phone is boss. Just gotta get use to the touch screen and setting things up. Trying to figure out how to make the phone vibrate when I get a new email instead of having to check if I have new mail.
