Busted by google - Link buying

Yep.. I might have a go a that, can't see it working..but worth a shot.
Just do one. It either works or it doesn't. Unlike those lazy folks out there, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Definitely randomize your templates. You can randomize your own unique templates easily as well.

I have some input based on personal experience. If your DOM is 10% different, that is enough for Google to skip you in a mass ban. It doesn't guarantee you will evade manual inspections, only quality content and genuine differentiation can do that.

Don't keep nav common, don't keep footer content common, and don't keep external filenames (css for example) common. Change class names as well. I work above and below the body tags usually.

When you've done it once or twice, it's under an hour per site. If your sites are worth more than one hour of wages to you, then it is an easy economic calculation.

if you're using something like Wordpress or an engine with a lot of templates, it's easy to keep them random. The bad news is, not all templates are equally good on the user side, so there are tradeoffs if every node in your network is expected to optimally convert.

Did you interlink the websites or a part of it? If so, there you got your reason why you are banned. If you used adsense on them it was just a one-click problem to find out which sites were yours.

wtf?

He was running a mininet...linking is part of the deal with mininets. they dont have to recip link et al, but linking is part of the key to having a net of sites...

To the OP- from my experience in mininets, I would <guess> link buying wasnt the issue..template was. So easy to randomize that shit...and as cheap as ip's are these days..mix a few of those in as well to your nets...
more random the better.

ps- Im wondering how your sites are still doing on Y/Bing.. i would imagine just fine.. :)

No bother with yahoo and bing. Not getting a lot of traffic from them, as they were uk targeted and Google is 90% of the UK market.

I am inclined to think it was a template issue. None of the sites were getting over 100 visitors a day. I am not sure if google would be bothered having a look at niches like this. Anyway, lesson learned.

Not sure what the problem was did you buy too many links at once?

Try adding all your websites to Google Webmaster and request a re inclusion. IF they deny, they usually will give a reason.

Have you scanned your sites for injections? You might have been hit by a hax0r and he uploaded a ton of porn and viagra links and you're suffering because of it.

This happend to me a long time ago, took a while before I figured out what the hell was going on.

You own a McDonald's. A Wendy's pops up next door. Instead of using your profits to buy more McDonald's and diversify yo bonds nigga, you spend your time trying to burn down that Wendy's EVERY day. Why?

I report my competitors sites daily to google for banning links.....fuck'em

try template spinning much like article spinning ie your stylesheet will look like this before you spin a template.
Code:
[#col1|#column2] {width:[100px|125px]; float:[left|right];}
used [] instead of {} as it is used in css.
