I for one can't cook, but then that's what the wife's for right? I can do some mean ass bbq'ing, but aside from that,I can probably whip up a batch of cookies or maybe some lasagne.

I know you guys are probably pushing your cooking limits to make mac & cheese or an eggo, but if you have kitchen skillz, what can you make?

I can make a lot of shit..

eggo waffles, pb&j, scrambled egg sandwich, I could go on but I might embarrass the rest of you with my skills.

edit: inb4 fatbat.

Cooking is easy and anyone can do it... just follow some recipes until it's habit, tweak for best performance, etc. The only way people learn how to cook is by recipes.

Anyone can cook. Half the food you've eaten in the past month was probably prepared by someone without a high school diploma, who was stoned and or hung over at the time they prepared it.

Not rocket science, homy.

Anyone can cook. But not everyone can cook well.

I can make bread, pasta noodles from scratch (tortellini, fettucine, etc), stews, soups, Cuban food, etc. Grab a copy of Food and Wine. It's food porn.

My entire family grew up on the restaurant industry, so yes I can cook just about anything. My grandma even owned her own restaurant and opera fudge business. I remember some magazine did a story on her about her opera fudge. Cooking isn't that hard if you have some patience and follow directions.

I can cook. Anything from gourmet to junk food. I plan to open a restaurant when I "retire"

Like other poster said just follow recipes and tweak them as you see fit

I've been known to cook occasionally.

Unfortunately I can. Unfortunately because I learned to cook all my favorite meals from when I would eat out a lot and order take out, and now I don't want to order take out anymore because I know I can cook it better, cheaper, and spend a little bit more time doing it (though it does make for a nice break).

It probably helps that I eat a lot of bland foods and will eat the same thing for weeks/months on end without getting bored of it.

I manage to burn shit that's easy to cook all the time. Like today when I put some eggs to boil, forgot about them, and went back to the stove an hour later only to see an empty pot with egg all over the kitchen.

So no, I can't cook for shit.

I can cook very well but my strength is Indian food. However, i must confess wife cooks hella better than me. She belongs to the "Chef" family and my mother in law is a chef and author of several cooking books.

We are hoping to run a restaurant some day

I can cook all kinds of stuff (although not pastries or breads), and I constantly experiment, and thus also fail often. For example I have a money mac and cheese sauce recipe, but the other week I decided to make it bechamel style just to see how it would be, and must have fucked up the roux because I couldn't get it to pop. Ended up adding so much ground mustard I killed it. Bad days man.
