Cellphone recommendation?

OK... let's get this out first: FUCK!!

I lost my cellphone last week. As it was a windows mobile, I got all my contacts and data and it wasrunning on a prepaid card, so no big deal there.

However, I need to get a new one now.

As officials still have not sorted out my status here, I can't get a contract one, so I am looking at a significant amount of cash for a new one.

So I am looking at a PALM TREO.

Only question, should I go with Palm OS (680) or WinMobile (750).

As of now, I am pretty underwhelmed by the windows mobile experience.

Any comments on this?

I would like some input as well. My phone has recently decided to hang up in the middle of every single phone call. Half the time it does not ring, the other half it will not dial out. Never had any problems until about 2 weeks ago.

Looking for an upgrade...Would love suggestions...

Blackberry? Treo - my wife loves hers?

Apple (I hate buying 1st generation stuff, it is pricey and the 2nd round comes out six months later with all the kinks worked out...)

I agree with Emp - not a fan of windows mobile.

I know almost nothing about cell phones, heck I sold a few hundred thousand ringtones, and I dont even have my own ringtone....Any advice or pointers would be appreciated.
