short version, this is teenagers in iran pre-revolution.

they had a good leader that wanted to nationalize their oil. British petrol decided they wanted that oil so MI6 and CIA went over and spent 1 million dollars bribing leaders, took over radio stations, dropped pamphlets and ran a propaganda campaign until they could make people hate a guy they loved, mosedeq(sp?). in the end, the CIA managed to get him, a patriotic leader of his country, attempting to maintain ownership over the assets of the country - locked in his house until his death.

oh and we dont like iran apparently. we installed a dude that would do what we told him like the mafia. spreading democracy is fun, profitable, kills heros that act on behalf of their constituents, eliminates freedom and creates enemies.
 
and while im here. The grace commission report is not related to the CIA but they know about it. it was a report gathered by a committee underragan that said a couple cool things, you can find this, it is declassified.

  • half of all income taxes are spent on transfer payments and interest on debt (central bank essentially)
  • the other half is lost and wasted on shit you dont expect to get as a tax payer
  • you'd be so fucking pissed they're scared this info might get out and cause problems
  • the black market grows in direct proportion to income taxes
  • the path we were on, and stayed on, is unsustainable and will end badly ( idk i think it was 84? uidk)

I hope you're trolling, because your logic sucks. "Hurr, we can't defend ourselves if we're not taxed." I'd say the opposite. With all that tax money, they're able to deploy hundreds of bases around the world, pissing the fuck off of everyone, drone civilians; all of which result in retaliation/blowback (see 9/11).
