Hey guys,
I've developed a few products that I am intent on selling. I was wondering what the WF community recommended in terms of putting it on the market.

I'm strongly considering CodeCanyon (assuming they would accept my product(s)) but if I sold the items myself I wouldn't have to give up 50%~ of my money from sales. But CodeCanyon, in my opinion, might draw in an initial buyer-base.

Does anyone here have any experience with something similar? Would what you recommend?

It's pretty simple really..

If know how to get targeted traffic (either through SEO or any other means) AND you're willing to put in the work to get them to your site, sell it yourself.

If you don't know or you're too busy to bother with it, use a site like code canyon.

I guess you could make the most selling the script on your own website. But you iwll need to generate your own traffic and do all the selling, copy, etc.
Its easier to just put it in codecanyon but the profits can be potentially smaller. It's a good place though for market research and seeing what people are buying. Check out what are the best selling scripts and create your own exclusive ssite offering something similar. The script is already proven to make sales ad using your won site you can charge much more. Prices on cody canyon are very low.

I have sold my (one of my LLCs to be right) AS/Flash templates on Activeden (a sibling market place of CodeCanyon on Envato) until 2 years ago.
The files must be manually checked by the Envato team to fit their guidelines and they give the price.
I was lucky because 4 templates of mine were selling well quarter after quarter and I ended to average not less 10K$ net monthly profit the last year.
Now prices are dropping and sales too.
Get everything for you and sell on your site.
