Hey Eli,

I believe the Book of Revelation is real. A lot of it I don't understand, but I can see incremental bits of prophecy being fulfilled before our very eyes today. I didn't know that about 666 being related to 'wait state' computers and stuff, but that's very interesting. In my humble opinion, it is the blueprint for the end of one age and the beginning of another.

There is some great and intelligent discussion on this board, some of the best I've ever seen. The above quote does not fit into the category though...There is plenty of good evidence for ID. Here is one I like. This guy is pretty smart and Information Theory is a strong argument for ID.

Does it prove the Christian God of the Bible? No, it doesn't. God has made clear that faith (if something is proven totally, no faith is necessary), is of the utmost importance to Him: "For he who would come to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him."

So, you won't ever be able to "prove" God, that is by design.
Everything is by Design.

I would agree that most people who are religious have a better quality of life because of it. So what? That's not the point, it still doesn't make it true. Anyone willing or simply stupid enough to delude themselves in order to seek a better quality of life is a douche bag.

If God is real I'd be willing to bet that he would favour open minded, critical thinkers who question things rather then people who follow such childish beliefs like zombies, without ever using logic or reason to support them.

I mean what kind of God would respect people who just accept and believe things without needing ANY evidence?
 
You admins are obviously atheists who are attempting to suppress evidence that disagrees with your belief system. Shame on you.

I like the discussion going on here very much. Intelligence and for the most part agreeable disagreement.
I take issue with the few that say things such as:
"Without ANY evidence"
"They can't even give one piece of evidence"
and the like. They are comments either from bias or ignorance.

The fact is that every belief system invokes a miracle somewhere along the line.
--Christians= God's miracles
--Darwinists= Life from matter, where did matter come from in the first place...
Etc.
The above link provides ONE nice piece of evidence for design in living things, I challenge you all to read it and "follow the evidence wherever it leads."

If you've read A Paradise Lost by John Milton you'd realize just how spot on that statement is haha :)

turbolapp was talking about christian propoganda magazines and scary stories. They don't even compare to that book. I bought it for my mom for her birthday one year cus she's very hardcore straight and narrow Christian and loves that kind of stuff. She read it and the abridged notes every night. Two weeks later she managed to get through the first chapter and was like OMG this is the best book i've ever read, i'm completely addicted to it. Three weeks after that she got through the second chapter...I threw that book away, i'm sorry son. lol
