Welcome to America, 2010.

Have a proven, tested, business plan that can make over $50 million a month, legally? Sorry, that's too much money.. anything more than hot dog stand is "risky"....

America is turning into a bunch of fucking pussies. So, let me get this straight... You're telling me that anyone for any reason can charge back a legitimate charge on their credit card, and it's going to be honored? Are you fucking kidding?

Here's what I've heard from some customers:

#1. Oh, my daughter took my credit card and used it, I didn't realize that this charge was made, so I'm charging it back to the bank.

UHHH.... tough shit bitch... you should fucking protect your credit card and not let your undisciplined daughter use it.

#2. ya.. uh.. I decided I didn't want to do this after all... So either gimme a refund or I'm going to my bank.

OH you've had buyers remorse? well fucking live and learn buddy, there's a reason there are TERMS AND CONDITIONS that you CHECK that you AGREE too... are they there just for fucking fun? Get a clue!

What the fuck is this word coming too where we are protecting these idiots! They will never learn responsibility for there own actions if the system just caters to there every whim.. So you're out 100 bucks, big fucking deal.. maybe you shouldn't be haphazardly entering your credit card online...

#3. I didn't realize I was going to be charged on my credit card, I've already contacted my bank and put a hold on the payment. If I don't receive a refund immediately I'll be taking further action with the bank.

You didn't realize you were going to be charged??? Um.. You entered your credit card online, you clicked a button that said "Charge" you checked a checkbox that you agree to terms... and you "didn't realize".. well again, live and fucking learn dumb bitch...

America is literally going to fucking die.. we're turning away income from outside countries, billions of dollars.. because these assholes are complaining about their own stupidity and we're justifying it?

Here's an opportunity.. I have a PROVEN and TESTED method for high returns, NOT CONTINUITY! but falls within the same "risk" factor in terms of charge backs and refunds. If you have a processing solution, I'm all ears. but PLEASE do not message me with bullshit... "OH I HAVE A REFERRAL I CAN GIVE YOU, WHAT'S YOUR PLAN" or "WE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP" We're talking millions of dollars a month in profit, either you have a solution or you don't... someone who doesn't give a fuck what the model is.. someone who can manage this fucking "risk" from the processor side... PM me if this is you.

This country has sucked for quite awhile now. Must've been nice to live here some time ago...like maybe the 50's.

Dude, I feel your pain. I get this shit all the time but you got to brush it off or every day of your business life will suck. Just know, that 90% of the people who decide to get a refund do so the moment they purchase (i.e. they're fucking frauds).

That's business.

As for this:

"#1. Oh, my daughter took my credit card and used it, I didn't realize that this charge was made, so I'm charging it back to the bank."

I can one-up you :) I've had a fucktard ask for a refund because "his 2-yr old nephew was playing with his iPhone and ordered accidentally" - the funny thing is, the card got declined the first time because of the wrong expiration date. He succeeded on the 2nd try.

Gave him the refund and wished him well... may he choke and die.

Again, it's just business. Good luck finding a processing solution.

You're retarded.

Well, no it's not business. When you can't process high volume, what's the point? What kind of business caps it's revenue ability? The issue here is much more than just brushing it off, it's these policies that are anti-american, and are making people believe that if they just lie and act stupid it justifies there actions.. can you imagine in 10 years what this will be like? It's not some sort of a joke we should be brushing off... this will be the fucking end... everyone uses credit cards these days and to make policies that deny legitimate businesses to process them is fucked

GeXus, PM me to get live in about 10 days. I have a solid check21 solution that will work for you. Accepts many high risk merchants.

I know but check processing is the most reliable solution right now... chargebacks are also significantly lower than with cc's since there is an actual image/picture of a real check on the account for the check transaction.

and the account holder needs to sign an affidavit to dispute, correct? and thus is subject to perjuring him/herself in the event that they decide to lie and charge back.

checks? C'man man, fuck checks.. we need visa/mastercard.

You do? Then you should stop complaining: the chargeback thing is their policy. The card companies do better by keeping their customers comfortable using the cards (ie. accomodating their stupid requests) then by protecting the seller. The card companies created your demographic for you -- you have no market without them. If I'm wrong then that means you should be able to do just as well taking cash in the mail for payment, right?

How about you make money with what's available already (aka the status quo), rather than bitch your way to riches?

How about you make money with what's available already (aka the status quo), rather than bitch your way to riches?

didnt america used to want entrepreneurs to be creative? want them to think outside the box?

what is this status quo you speak of? everyone working for a mega corporation?

you dont need to bitch your way to success. but when a government is breaking the fundamentals of what it was built on and making regulations that only the small guy has the follow. how can that small guy ever have a hope of breaking through?

big business does not follow regulation. they screw up and they are GIVEN MONEY by the government. how can you not see what has happened? it is right in front of you.

how can the average entrepreneur have a hope in hell of long term success when the cost of operating a business is so high? all these regulations are pushing people out of business. the ones who are already established are going to start cutting their losses, taking their profits and closing up shop. then when there are no jobs left people are going to have the nerve and wonder why?

when companies are no longer willing to take risk you are not even in business anymore. business IS a risk.

it has turned into where the government is going to decide how, when and why you can make money.

isnt that communism?

Mastercard is going to tell you what a "fair market price is" now? so they get to decide their "buddies" in mega corps products are fair market price but then the small guy is "gouging the customers"? who gets to decide this!?

you have to be overly upfront with everything now. there is no room for creativity anymore! we are forced to protect the idiots that do not even belong with a credit card in the first place.

are you going to see Ford commercials say "this car is a piece of tin, i mean its OK, the speaker system does kind of suck, it's kinda fast" NO OF COURSE NOT

but then the CC companies are going to come in and tell you what claims you can make on your page? the entire point of BUSINESS is overselling a product! if the world was at face value capitalism wouldnt exist! wtf has happened?

You, sir, are a fucking idiot. The government has nothing to do with credit card risk regulations. If you don't like CC terms, don't fucking accept CCs. CC agreements say that companies can't enforce minimum charges or force ID to be shown with CC payments. If a business refuses to process my card under a certain amount, or asks me for ID to pay with (*cough* Rio Las Vegas *cough*), I report them to the processor. Either deal with a contract you sign, or don't sign the fucking contract. If you can't handle chargeback rates on your products, you either have too high of a chargeback rate, or you're not factoring in any risk to your pricing (or both). If you can't plan properly for risk in your own business, factoring in risk that you must assume per credit card processing contracts, you're doomed.

I'm not speaking out of my ass here - I used to run a web hosting company, and web hosting is an industry rife with attempted fraud and chargebacks. If you can't handle the chargebacks, or can't plan for them properly, you deserve to fail.

If you can't effectively fight frivolous chargebacks on legitimate, non-rebill products, you're doing it wrong.

Anyway, OP, see if http://www.cdgcommerce.com/ can help you at all - They're pertty experienced with fraud detection and chargeback protection, and have a ton of experience in the hosting space (where both come in handy, a lot). The guys over there really understand MOTO/card not present transactions in high risk legitimate industries.

well said johu. Dispute policy has nothing to do with risk, either. It's about making sure that chase visa customers remain chase visa customers and don't go to us bank. fuck you merchant, you're not paying us 28% APR on the open balance.

if didnt notice, idiot. one post was about business and one post was about credit card processing.

you notice how the 2 are seperate? was it that hard to follow?

but i do agree a lot of your post.

for every $1 you process the acquiring bank is liable for that up to 6 months (chargebacks) that is why you're not finding a solution.

but if this business model of yours has been tested to SOME degree, and your CB rate is 1%, then PM me

amen... he has a point. Its all about the consumer bitching their way to the bank. Everyone is becoming slaves to money instead of principles. I think that is what this is really about. Before it was when you signed your name you agreed and had integrity to honor your agreement. Now its how do I get out of it.

I feel his pain, customers can be a fucking pain with all the dumb shit they come up with. I mean come on, we are to the point where there is so much compliance and people are still fucking charging back BECAUSE THEY CAN. I think we should start a network where we just bankrupt merchants by charging back all at once, maybe we could extort money out of them first. Fucking Visa/MC needs to grow some balls and have RULES instead of supplicating to every stupid unjust demand from the broke ass consumers in america.

plus he is right, this shit will get worse. It will just take more profit away with more "risk" we have to deal with.
