Correct invoice?

So what?

Send an example to the guys, they fill it out, email it to you - bingo.

Ive heard about these German laws. I once had a client that needed an invoice for almost everything. Never did understand the laws up there but they sure as hell seem like sticklers for finances.
Not exclusive to Germany. Most of us in Europe need some sort of a document to claim expenses > reduce profits > reduce taxes.

Payment confirmation isn't enough to hold water in case of an audit.

I've been "faking" my invoices, because nobody here, even larger and more expensive services, never wanted to provide one. :]

That's the best way of doing it.

Make it as 'ready' as it gets. Give them a spot to put their company logo or type their company info.

Let everyone know BEFORE starting a project that you 'require' this.

I don't think anyone will have a problem with it.

Yeah, or instead, you can
create a reverse invoice for them.

It's the exact same thing as an invoice except that the money flow is reversed. I've used this model when I had a bunch of different people doing promotion and I didn't want to wait for all of them to send me something on paper.

This way you can avoid the hassle of coaching Stanislav, the programmer from north Siberia, on local laws, and waiting for him to send you something back.
