Daily motivation, 6am is for hustlers.

I thought that was a great video. To all the haters, of course you don't have to get up at 6am to be successful. It's just a habit that many people find makes a positive improvement in their lives.

i guess you're right. fat motherfuckers are diligent as hell. that's why they never count the amount of calories they take daily. surely that sort of discipline will translate to business success. i stand corrected. my apology.

yeah man. i got banned. no surprise...

your comment reminds me of a woman i worked with once who was miserable every day and did nothing but complain about her life. i offered to let her use my set of tony robbins discs, and she haughtily retorted that she'd never listen to tony robbins because he's been divorced.

just a guess, but i'm betting that bitch is still miserable.

The speeches mixed with the film scores gave me goosebumps.

Waking up early has absolutely no bearing on success.

I've been working for myself for going on 4 years now, and I get up every day at about noon after working till 5 or 6am.

Waking up early = success is a huge lie that has been perpetuated for decades by companies like IBM.

I used to feel like a loser every day when I woke up at noon but then I started realizing: "I made $4,000 while I was sleeping, I can wake up whenever I damn well please."

What people don't realize is even though I sleep till noon I still sleep WAY less than the average American.

The success of the "early to bed early to rise" mantra is predicated upon you having to plan your time around society and others (ie, a day job that expects you to be on time or a huge family to take care of). But in the end, the only true benefit to waking up early is so that you can enjoy some alone time to be productive, before everyone else wakes up and bugs the f*ck out of you.

true. i'm self employed, i can get up whenever i want & its been that way for over a decade.

i get up at 3:30am usually, not because i have to but because i like the fact that the world is quiet. it agrees with me to be at the gym hammering out reps when the world is asleep... then to be back home, cleaned up & cranking out work before 99% of other people have gotten out of bed. i like that. i like having 15 hours of quality shit done and being asleep before most others have begun getting their retard revved up.

if others don't? meh. to each his own.

It probably goes back to hunter-gatherer times when daylight hours really were most advantageous for what they were trying to do.

Serotonin levels in most people go up during daylight.

The article linked in this thread speculates that some people in the hunter-gatherer time evolved to be night-owls so that they could stand guard at night, while others evolved to be up early and out finding food.

Only that as society moved to agrarian, there was less need for people standing guard at night.

Something was reported last month that a beard makes you more combat ready too.

Let it grow = make it rain beotches.

Unfortunately this. I'm having severe insomnia atm. Have to run 'sleep music' from Youtube for 2 hours to even fall asleep. Think I'll get some ZMA, I hear it's good for falling asleep.

5-htp works wonders for me. Most people's results with it seem to be hit-or-miss though. If it doesn't work, people have reported success with tryptophan as well.
