I'm not a Bimmer fan but took a ride in the X6 and it was unfuckenbelievable.
Audi A8L W10 is sick and the power won't go vapor.
Porsche 911T is a beast.
Lot's of good options out there - just test drive what' in your price range and decide.

My considerations:
- 2 year old M5, prices have plummeted, can scoop up all day for mid $50's for a car that stickered at $100k
- 2-3 year old 997 S/4S. Also dropped about 55-60% from original sticker with under 20k miles.
- 2006-2008 E55 - forget the 63- nearly as good performance, 2006 fixed a lot of early model issues and they can be had for mid-low $40's, comfortable, understated, luxurious, and fast.
-2-3 year old Continental GT. Again - prices have dropped nearly $30k in 9-10 months due to the economy.
Now is NOT the time to buy a new car, regardless of what your price point is (assuming north of $40-50k).

I'd agree with these cars as excellent choices, I'd add the used BMW M3 or M6 into the mix.
100k for a corvette is stupid ... 60k I thought was a bit much.
some wires near the headers were burnt to a crisp .. guess those runs at 180 it gets pretty hot *shrug*
only sad part - header has to be dropped to get at the wiring (argh) lol
snot. just been having issues every time i turn around it seems lately - all I want to do is drop the top - enjoy the rays and cruise.
So are those headers stock or aftermarket? Sounds like they might be aftermarket...
What year and model is the one you have now? Convertible I guess it probably aint a z06. Or do they do that now?
crispy wires from high speed / long distance runs? ... the headers got too hot. *shrug*
SEOMike beat me to it, but if you want a $100 K sports car, look into the Telsa. Just remember it takes 8 hours to charge...

get a Lotus Exige S. Basically a Toyota Powerplant, reliable as hell, supercharged, handling is insane, it's good stuff. Hard as hell to get into, but once your in its good! You can pick one of those up for pretty cheap now, or even cheaper, get an Elise and supercharge it. I use to work at a Lotus service shop, had guys come in all the time that would beat the HELL out of them on a track every weekend. Still ran like a champ.
