Agreed. The only "great" think about US prisons is that it's prison culture to turn child molesters and rapists into human toilets.

I wish I was evolved enough to a point where I could see people's side of things but I can't.

I have a relative who used to work as a psychologist in a prison. The only time I felt sorry for someone was a guy who used to rape and beat old women - almost to death.

Turns out the guy was letting out his anger at being sexually abused from the age of 5 by his grandmother. She used to do Fritz type stuff to him - make him perform oral sex on her and some evil demonic sick type shit.

As a woman sometimes I am shocked by how many men have been sexually abused by women (and other men of course) whom they trust. Yet they can't really tell people, I don't know perhaps because men are supposed to "enjoy sex" or are consider the "dominant" sex.

Of course I am not excusing these assholes who should be raped with dull knives if you ask me. I guess I am saying though that alot of people have had some evil shit done to them and it externalizes itself it horrid ways....

I still don't get the Death penalty.
I've always found it quite an insufficient form of punishment for some crimes, because it simply offers release, and is only really a punishment with any teeth if you firmly believe in some kind of Hell. For some people who's crimes stem from a massive depression, that could actually be for their benefit.

I've always thought permanent solitary in a 2x3, with no parole, a small window that allows in the sounds of the outside, but has a ledge to prevent sound from traveling downwards from the window (no communication) and site of the ground (no visual stimulus of human activity or ability to place yourself in relation to space around you), with no form of entertainment would be a much worse hell...
I'm pretty certain you'd go insane very very quickly.
