Did Google Just Ban Me?

They use Flash Cookies + IP address to track you.

1. Download a firefox plugin Objection to remove these cookies.
2. Go to adobe Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Global Privacy Settings Panel set your flash cookies jar to 0kb, this will stop any new flash cookies from being added.
3. Go to strong VPN and get an account there $45 for 3 months, get a US IP. Only ever log into adwords from this VPN ever.

Job done.

Man this whole thing is kinda scary. I mean I don't give 2 fucks about my Adwords accounts as I gave up on Google months ago, but if I ever lost my gmail account I'd be screwed. I have years and years of shit in there.

It's too bad there isn't a way to export your mail to another client or provider. Glad I never promoted grants or bizopps on my main account.

I got banned today for the same shit. I haven't used it in a month or so, but I'm positive that in the next couple months I'll find something I want to run on there and then I'll have to go through the shitty process of getting another account.

I'm pretty sure you need a new computer and credit card too.

1) AdWords editor can send your MAC address or HD number. Unless you plan on using the web interface, you'll need a new computer. (No proof except speculation on BHW.)

2) New credit card, obviously. Virtual Credit Cards generally don't work for AdWords.

3) New name, new address, etc.

Stop being assholes. I have multiple accounts running since a long time & I use same ID, same CC, same computers & same everything. And no they're not under MCC.

1. change your mac address, very easy to do
2. Virtual credit cards do work
3. new name is a must, use a hybrid address :) figure it out

My shitty hired grunt from DP Misspelled gogle money tee on the landing page, so I'm immune.

Digitalpoint delivers!

What provider? The first 12 numbers of the credit card identify the credit provider / bank number. Most virtual credit card providers are banned from Google.

I would never keep all my contact info, personal and business emails in the hands of any gmail. You are trusting all your hard word in the hands of idiots.

I assume you own a corporate web page or something indicative of your company and purpose. I would do all correspondence through there, using Thunderbird, Outlook, etc. for all your main correspondence.

I set my hosting servers to -7- days max to store all emails on the servers, so I always have a week's worth of email correspondence saved remotely. I use Carbonite for a paltry $50 a year to backup my entire PC remotely while it's idle, and its the best program ever. It was actually put to the test 2 months ago when my hard drive failed, I was up and running in 36 hours email-wise. I simply downloaded my restored copy of Thunderbird, then logged into all of my accounts, where it then downloaded the 4000 messages sitting on the servers as my email came back. Yeah it was a lot of work but its bulletproof for the most part.

I use gmail as an alternative address if someone cant get through to me for some reason, but I've never put my faith in online web email platforms. Too clunky and little control. Give me Thunderbird or Outlook any day...

Any installed google apps you've used, including AWE, *may* have sent your h/ware details, computer name, network name etc to G. This includes your MAC. Instead of a new computer you could try using a VM.

not true. or i'd be rebanned ;)

clear cookies and flash cookies, no need to change mac address if behind router. get new card with new address by phoning cc company and giving new billing address (just moved house) while requesting to keep old address as correspondence address ;) then next day phone them again and say i lost my card. new card with new number and billing address gets sent to correspondence address. check if you have a dynamic ip address first, if not get vpn address. open new account. you'll probably still get a billing review as your name will trigger it but sit tight, email them, play dumb and wait it out *. week later enjoy shiny new account.

and this time make some sleeper accounts in friends and family names :)

Virtual Machines are great for keeping accounts and cookies seperate.

* you'll know if you are under billing review because the account will be frozen and the green "valid" won't be next to your cc in billing summary

I don't see why you would need to register the account under a different name. A name isn't exclusive. They can't just ban all the John Smiths of the world.

But you will definitely need a new credit card, a new address and a new IP at least.

I think the idea that you need a new PC is quite off the mark. You can get away with using a program like Parallels to mask specific hardware information and simulate another system. Other footprints can be masked and edited.

Better yet, just setup your campaigns in a library or another public place with Internet access - and be careful what other Google apps you log in to when you do it.

I gave up with AdWords a while ago. The only reason I'd bother re-joining them is to promote shit that isn't affiliate-based. I don't think setting up a new account is gonna be worth it if you're simply going to bang out another bizopp campaign. They'll find it again and instead of slapping you, they'll probably ban you.

Exactly. Same reason I gave up.

I think it's interesting though -- I wonder how many relatively legit affiliates are going to be forced into blackhat underground tactics due to this. Prohibition is never a good idea.

I'm surprised google has allowed people infringing on and damaging their trademark for so long. For the people that were using google money tree.

Looks like Google is banning most of the re-billers. I read some were:

"The only industry which is making money in recession is of those "CON-ARTISTS";

WTF! :angrysoapbox_sml:

I don't think the new AW interface has ever shown the green 'Active' or 'Valid' on the billing summary page... has it?
