Did Google Just Ban Me?

Are you saying that they are identifying duplicate accounts on the basis of street number + zipcode combo?

No they don't track people by street number and zip code, since we aren't google we can only assume that when they ban you from adwords they take all your info (name, address, city, state, zip, phone, credit card number, google account, IP, domains, etc) and flag it so if you use that same information again they can easily find you and ban you in the future.

So to get around the ban, you get a new card number and just keep the same street number and zip code, everything else you can change and the card will still be charged fine. See more info about AVS here: Address Verification System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Setting up a new adwords account:

1. Buy a basic Windows dedicated server from volumedrive for $55 per month. You will use this from now on to manage your PPC campaigns by using remote desktop or whatever VNC/remote administration platform you want to use.

Exactly WTF does this mean?

Can I just skip this step, if I use a completely separate computer just to manage my google PPC account?

As long as you get a new IP and never use it login to your old account for any G services then yes.

Getting your gmail account banned sounds pretty fucking terrible. Everything is in my gmail. I even have my company domain email hosted with google. Guess I got to go and set up squirrel mail or whatever the fuck eventually. Sorry to hear about the bannings, really sucks!

I can see problems with Google autobanning based on an IP or a computer trail though.

What if you have a public shared computer (say a library) and it so happens that some dude is using it to bust out Google Money campaigns every day. He gets his account banned and then somebody else comes along and tries to access their Gmail from that computer or manage their own Adwords campaigns. Do they automatically get banned to fuck too for having that one bad IP associated with their account?

I just can't see how Google would be able to pull the trigger so easily without banning a lot of innocent customers. There's gotta be a couple more factors that come in to their banning criteria.

I think ayzo meant that if you get a new computer just for PPC (or a dedicated server to VPN through), don't use that to login to your old busted Google accounts. The new IP is just another layer of indirection a VPN gives, where if you used a new laptop at home you don't necessarily get it.

That is extremely dangerous for them. Lots of false positives especially in densely populated areas.

Otherwise, I think Ayzo's method should work.

this work perfectly. Just don't try bizop it will auto trigger review

Man this whole thing is kinda scary. I mean I don't give 2 fucks about my Adwords accounts as I gave up on Google months ago, but if I ever lost my gmail account I'd be screwed. I have years and years of shit in there.

It's too bad there isn't a way to export your mail to another client or provider. Glad I never promoted grants or bizopps on my main account.

Imap that shit to a local client

if you just go banned as well, hit me up on aim and let's make a little support group, exchange advice etc.

me personally, i'm gonna go with 3 new computers, new isp, new company, new cc and never gonna access my old google accounts.

playing it i safe like that will still be cheaper for me than opening a new company next time i get banned cause i forgot to change my MAC address or something stupid like that.

btw, what about cookies i get in chrome about using my banned gmail account as a username in affiliate network sites, forums etc? cant that be an alarm bell?

Dantex pretty much said it, I don't think google would look at just 1 single thing when they decide if they want to ban you again. I'm sure the IP address is just a single "point" and if you reach a certain amount of points in terms of red flags then they ban you.

LMAO! You are joking right?

Google didn't invent AM y'know!

i know, but i make enough money from legit offers over there, so why not get back on that horse as well?

media buys, ppv, bing or whatnot - they'll still be there.

maybe you can stop laughing so hard now.

Dude, I agree - there are a million other options aside from google.

But holding hands in a support circle thinking it will make a difference is just laughable. Google don't care.

google won't care but we could just come up with the best solution to re-enter adwords. I didnt invite google to the group...

btw, my aim is marxistseo@gmail.com

So your plan to circumvent Google is on a google account?

That is strike 1. They monitor what you talk about. Seriously. I was emailing a friend about blog content generators. They censored 3/5th of the email and banned my googlesite on web design which was 100% written by me.

Use your own email accounts or at least get off google.

The strange thing about the ban is that I can still log in to gmail, adwords, etc.
I keep waiting for the hammer to fall as I did get all the you are banned emails.
Seems like a few folks on this post had the same experience where Google told them they were banned for life, but can still log in. I am gonna lay low for a while and see what happens.

Imap that shit to a local client
Exactly - that's the easiest way to back things up. Enable IMAP in your GMail & use your favorite client (Thunderbird works well) to just Copy Folder to either a local folder or an account on your server. Piece of cake.

I don't think google mentioned anywhere about a ban from gmail, just adwords. They didn't to me at least. Are you all honestly worried about gmail accounts going away? That seems a bit extreme though I agree- don't rely on a company you're pissing off.

i was gonna open an account in a family members name but it just so happens my bank called me up today saying one of my cards was part of a big list of compromised cards or some shit and they sent me out a new one. so ill see how good ayzo's method works out when it gets here. thanks for the info btw.

Switch it up a little. New company name, new CC, new account, new domains, new email address and you're set. Been back up and running after a similar ban a year and a half ago.
