Don't make my mistake.. Made that mistake 4 years ago. Just want to aware everyone on why it's a bad idea.
I've had to fill them up 7 times in the past 7 days, granted it's a leaky valve but still..

Walked out today to see they are flat again.

brb bad investment
brb tires always need air in them.
brb replacing tires is really expensive.
brb can't hit a single pothole without freaking out.
brb have to special order in tires takes a week.
brb incredibly hard to mount, high chance they'll have problems.
brb most shops don't have equipment to even mount them.
brb enjoy your selection of one or two brands only
brb high hand of fucking up the wheels bead from bumps.
brb extra ten seconds filling them up to fifty psi
brb random creepy people who ask if you want to sell them at every gas station
brb having to buy new brakes from all the wear and tear
brb have fun getting into an accident since you can't stop as well.
brb enjoy the screwed up alignment problems and steering wheel shakes

I think that's it for now.. Positives is it looks better, not to mention way more looks from women, and that's it.

So because your to cheap to spend $10 to change the stems after four years, we shldnt get those?

Sounds like someone who has a puncture, or another problem, would rather blame the size of the tyres for his issues.

My mistake, everyone knows bigger tyres don't hold air like the smaller ones.

Sounds like you've got shitty tyres, bro.

First brand I had lasted 3 years with zero major problems, but they went out of business so had to switch brands.. Just bought two new tires a month ago and they are already having problems unfortunately..

Brand new tires, I didn't realize that was the problem, have only had these a month. Some of the issues mentioned above aren't stem related..

You have a bent rim. Take it to a place that straightens them.

Rim is fine, tires are sitting perfect on the bead, was my thought for a moment but had it looked at..

No damages, brand new.. But lower profile tires really don't hold air as well.. You have to realize any bumps or pot holes you hit in the road, are being impacted at a much closer level to the rim. Ask anyone that has these, they'll often tell you overtime to bead gets messed up, which causes minor leaking over time.

There's definitely some underlying problem. I've got 19" wheels, my Dad and Sister have 20" wheels and my best mate has 21" wheels. I've seen no problems from any of the above.

Perhaps you should just drive slower over potholes? :)

What you have to do is get some soapy water and soak a sponge and dab it around your tire and rim and you will see bubbles start to form at the leak.

op what brand wheels and what brand tires? I feel the issue might be somewhere in these 2 questions.

Yeah they were fine for a few years, but ever since these new tires it's been a nightmare...

Yup! Going to do this when I get into the shop.. Prob will just soak them underwater.

Mezzano MZ5.. They aren't sold anymore. For the tires, no idea? Only ones I could get shipped over due to the rarity of even finding them in the first place.. The tires were $150/each, but they are some off-brand ones, unfortunately was my only choice after calling 20-30 places. Only had one other option and I think it was 2x that price, just insane.

Pic (not mine), but in case anyone's curious.

Your tire manufacturer went out of business, they must be shit.
Get some Pirelli P Zero or Yokohama ADV 08. You cant go wrong with those.
Tires are one of the most important parts on your vehicle. Stop being a bitch and get spending on some proper tyres.

While it's true they went out of business, those last tires lasted me 3 years with no major problems.. So I can't complain, but this new tire brand is horrible.. Trust me I'd love to order some brand name tires, but everywhere I looked doesn't carry them for my rim.. Even that pricer tire, the 2nd choice wasn't even a decent name brand, it was just below average. Keep in mind only have x amount of clearance on my car so has to be a smaller/same tire size..

ok so not trying to be an asshole but those wheels Mezzano MZ5 are not good.

they are soft chinese mass produced wheels. most wheels in existence are like this. I've gone through this when I purchased my first set of wheels. TSW's. A lot of people purchase these types of wheels so you are not alone.

Since that bad purchase I've owned BBS, DPE, HRE, high end OEM (bentley, AMG - which is bbs)

and 3 years on tires? do you drive 5k miles a year? I do... so its possible.. Ive never owned cheaper tires than yokohama AVS and they ran me about 150 a tire on 18's...

150 a tire is absolute shit. They 100% make goodyear, michelins, or pirelli's in those sizes. should range from about 300 + a tire.

There is nothing funnier/sad when someone in a high end car is riding on no name tires. TIRES ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE CAR!!!

I have some funny stories of people coming to a friends shop in 911's and other high end cars and buying the shittiest or used tires. If you can't afford the proper maintenance you should't do it.

OP you really need to rethink your next wheel purchase and go with a proper set of wheels and proper set of tires

and please before you purchase another set of wheels learn why offsets, bolt patterns, and wheel weight are important things.

Cheap tires of any diameter are not a very good buy. Better tires are not pure rubber but have a layer of latex in them. To stop leaks. Porous cheap rubber lets air through slowly. The air might be coming through the rubber all over. But I would take the worse one off and play with soapy water, on the beads and on stem.

I would not go 50 psi with those. Is that what people do? Why? I would go as low as possible. Maybe 3oish?

PS Never had 20s but I race cars a bit. Its all about the tires.
