I find that a lot of people are shy to hop on skype and do business via IM or, *gasp*, with their VOICES.

If you're against... why?

I find it way more convenient to chat back and forth than to email, wait a day, email, wait a day.

For me...

Skype - Personal use
AIM - Business use

I have never used skype for any business contacts. The reason is I want to keep Skype only within my personal space & keep the life simple.

If I had to guess its probably the people from india or other countries that have difficulty with the english language that are a little gunshy on skype. chatting vs PMs mean less time to construct and grammar check a reply. Are you going to hand over your bucks to someone who can barely string together a sentence? Most guys are smart enough to avoid putting themselves in a situation where you have the opportunity to make that judgement call ;-)

who gives a shit. they're both forms of communication. in the past it was ICQ primarily for adult and AIM for what the fuck ever.. now that skype has entered the convo, it seems to be AIM/SKYPE = same shit (business/chat), ICQ = for adult.

Skype. Though I tend not to do voice calls, I prefer to type so I have a log and to ensure I can explain everything correctly and not forget to mention anything.

Dear non-skype users,

Please look at the poll results, get a !@#$ skype account and let's all do business together and make money.. k?

skype is good, most of buisinessmen uses it. but the e-mail and telephone is the main stream, i think

Skype is basically the only messenger program I use now... so annoying when you want to do business with someone who doesn't use it and insists they only use AIM (lol?) or MSN (lolol).
