Do you treat PayPal money like Monopoly money?

I just realized lately how easily I drop $300 from my PayPal funds for a service/product that I don't even end up using, but if it had to come from my own bank account I would have never bought it. It's like I don't take PP money as real money... is that bad doctor?

I think it's silly to have any money in your paypal balance to begin with. Shitty interest rates... you can't charge the complete amount of an item to a credit card (it only does the difference) which is a bitch to reconcile at the end of the year for taxes (not to mention you don't get points on paypal charges)... and worst case scenario, they freeze your account for god knows what reason and you're without those funds for a very long time usually.

Here's an idea - why don't you transfer that monopoly money into your real account?

But in all seriousness - I was once the same way. Making bank online seemed like a video game to me, because I never really see any physical properties being exchanged. So I'd spend the money like a video-game as well. Where as if I had that cash in hand, there's no way I'd be throwing it around the same way.

I keep money in my PP account because 99% of service providers here take paypal payments only. It's just convenient that way. For some reason sometimes when I have 0 in my PayPal and send a payment to someone, it takes it from my bank account as an e-check which takes 7 days to clear. Fucking annoying as the service provider will naturally refuse to deliver the service until the payment has cleared.

I too have the very same issue!

When I was 15 someone bought a website of mine for $5000 and paid via Paypal, around 2001. And there was no way to withdraw to an Irish bank account back then. So I went around the Internet and Ebay buying the most *retarded* shit you can think of that delivered to Ireland just to use the money. So yeah, Monopoly money back then, now it's real and it buys me pints.

is the same for me for poker money
today i spent 20 minuts thinking if get some seafruits for 6 euro at the supermarkets
than comed back and just wasted 400$ in 10 min cause i was bored

I always forget to cancel all the random subscriptions I'm on

That's actually a BIG problem for me right now. I'm under like 30 monthly subscriptions for various tools/services. Looking at my credit card bill I still can't figure out what half of them are. Ok most of them are under $20 a month but it still adds up. I really need a cleanup.
