For real, I read an article about this a year or two ago and was quite intrigued. Obviously, it was still in its infancy stage.

the overwhelming evidence based on hundreds of independent researchers is that aids originated from Africa in the early 20th century from a mutation of the SIV. no conspiracy, sorry.
Could you point me to where I said the origins of aids was a conspiracy? Everyone knows it was caused by some black fella havin sexual relations with a monkey in Africa; and then the gays began to really get it to take hold. the closet gays brought the disease mainstream by transmitting it to their heterosexual partners. What I was reffering to was the known fact that GE is known to practice eugenics. With an end goal of cleansing the human race. They are infecting people with HIV for christs sakes. Is prolonging someone's life by potentially shortening someone (possibly spreading hiv)else's the right thing?

Who knows what HIV really is. We know for a fact that it hits black people harder than whites and spread more easily among black due to genetic differences. A lot of white people are also almost immune.
The real travesty is that the illness is almost erradicated among heterosexuals, but homosexuals actually have rising rates despite millions being spent on prevention. Even knowing this, and knowing that among the newly infected 90% are gay and the last part drug users, campaigns still target young heterosexual couples.
Why is this? HIV is largely a non-issue among hetero couples. It's almost impossible for a man to get infected from a woman through vaginal sex.
So why doesn't the government spend money on campaigns aimed at gays? Is it political correctness or does the government want people to live in even more fear for an imagines boogeyman and jack off instead? Maybe Durex was the sponsor for those campaigns.

HIV attacks your T-Cells, which stops you from being able to fight off infection. Researchers are working on modifying HIV, so that rather than killing T-Cells, it modifies them in different ways, effectively training them to attack cancer cells.
You're not infecting someone with HIV that will kill them, you're infecting them with a modified HIV strain to train the immune system to do something new. It's currently one of the most promising potential cancer treatments we have.

Modifying disease is a big part of the medical problems we have today. They have been "modifying" the flu vaccine for years and now people regularly get progressively worse flu each year. Many of the vaccines (infecting you with the disease) on the market today have similar (but different) problems with it.
All that happens when they start fucking around with this stuff is they wind up inventing some new super strain that is drug resistant. If this takes off check back in 20 years and todays manageable HIV will have mutated into some super infectious, drug resistant super disease.
You want to cure cancer? Shut companies like Monsanto down. If you start with the cause of the majority cancer (food & water) you will eradicate most types of cancer.

If people live longer, they will all get cancer. Curing cancer is therefore a vital step in increasing our lifespans. Sure getting people to eat better will reduce cancer, but it won't eliminate it.
Thousands of things cause cancer, you can get cancer from spending a single day in the sun, it's just highly improbable. Thus the more days you live and spend in the sun, the more likely you are to get cancer.
Your flu vaccine reference again shows you don't know what you are talking about. That's a completely different problem. There's millions of different flu viruses out there, and the flu evolves each year, thus we have to change the vaccine each year to treat the new emerging strains. New strains are nothing to do with us using a vaccine, but that strains naturally mutate and evolve. Thanks to modern medicine we've not had a serious flu pandemic in decades.
Your HIV scenario is ridiculous, the whole point of this treatment is that the part of HIV that attacks people is removed. People given this treatment do not get HIV, or AIDS. We're getting to a point where we can modify viruses to do what we want them to. Of course, there are many downsides to that technology, especially if it falls into the wrong hands, which I don't deny, but this treatment isn't going to evolve into some super aids.
I'm not even going to dignify this with a response. WF "Marketers" love to get marketed to, clearly. These miracle natural cure sellers are the scum of the earth.

agreed, but at the end of the day there are a few things that will help you get it. 1. Gene's 2. Environment 3. Food
How is it different? Are you saying cancer doesn't evolve? The flu virus gets stronger and stronger every year. Do you know why? Because they inject a sizeable portion of the population with the flue virus. The flu virus prevents the flu in 1.5 out of 100 people. Leaving 88.5 susceptible to the getting the flu (even though they already have it) Modern medicine is spreading the flu infecting more and more people each year (if you insist I will dig up the stats)
Just because we can modify viruses doesn't mean we should. The more virus's are "modified" the more drug resistant they become. You may be right this may be the cure. But it might not be. What kind of sample size are they working with? How long has the study been? A year? 5 years? The limited sample size they are working with is hardly enough to draw a conclusion this is going to work out as intended. They have no idea what will happen with this HIV virus 10, 15, or even 20 years down the road. The science just doesn't exist.
Now with all that said, I am not saying they shouldn't try to cure cancer. I'm not even saying this may not be the solution. What I am saying is society needs to be very careful when they start fucking around with these viruses. One day we just might wake up with a major pandemic. Like I mentioned before, start with getting companies like Monsanto from poisoning our food supply. You will see amazing things happen to the cancer rates in this country.
