I would say at least read up on some CSS and start making the font layout and padding a lil cleaner. Right now it's too blocked up and too cluttered. Its like an assembly line of text squares.
It looks good enough to start blogging on, you can always redesign later on. Since your blog has set the width for the content I would suggest using a muted color or subtle texture for the page background. Some resources I go to for design inspiration and ideas:
