I made an offer for a domain awhile back through DomainBrokers, since the owner was accepting offers through them.
I received an email earlier in the week from DB saying that the domain had received another offer, and he gave me an asking price slightly above the other offer.
The asking price is lower than what he was asking for 6 months ago, although it is still pricey.
If they are being honest - then I appreciate them giving me the ability to outbid the other offer. With that said, is there anyway I can verify the legitimacy of these other offers? How do I know I'm not being taken for a ride?
