It's crazy that there's sucha a difference (on the 28th) between WMFJA1/en - Wikimedia Foundation (highest)
and
Appeal25/en - Wikimedia Foundation (lowest)
but you can certainly understand why with your 20/20 hindsight.
edit: and yeah jimmy's 10% is insane. Makes sense. I think I may take this info to a client of mine who also has an honest appealing looking face.
edit2: although it could just be because none of us are used to seeing that banner so it might not have mattered who it was. i know i clicked on it yesterday (before seeing this thread) but didn't donate (doh!)

This is the clear demonstration that Landing Page Optimization is a science
and not a simple web designers exercise.
The first page is the almost perfect landing page.
I can't believe banners with that fucking tool jimmy wales converted the highest. They're probably hard up for money because that idiot used to run around the country socializing on the foundation's dime.
Every time I see that campaign I think "No! I want fucking wikipedia to DIE so I can have the top spot on my keywords back again."
