Kids used to play with sticks and build tree houses. Now they play video games and built shit in games like sims.

So they have an unmanned craft flying around. Wow big deal. Technology changes, people are way to paranoid.

Worry about the GPS tracker in your phone before you worry about drones spying on you.

Going to have to agree. Since I was a kid, I can remember helicopters circling around my parents commercial property... This behavior isn't new, the technology has just made it a lot more easier to do

but as the technology advances, the degree to which privacy is invaded increases.

so no, it's not the same thing. eventually, if it goes unquestioned, they'll know exactly where you are (pinpoint), what you're thinking, what you're doing and who you're with.

Technology has once again outpaced legislation.

Unfortunately, this time, it is likely to have also outpaced the will of the people. The Death of Outrage gets more reflective of our society each day. Hence the widespread disillusionment. Though I have yet to join the AnCaps, it seems that there is an increasing number of people that simply do not care and those that do have failed to find a common thread that will tie their outrage into an effective movement.

I mean there is so much to dislike, where do you reasonably start with scrapping the system entirely an unreasonable solution that cannot garner enough support to occur.

Is there a Country to move to? or one that can be swayed reasonably with a decent number of immigrants?
 
Lol, what's the big deal? Drones are flying over my house all day, and I just ignore that shit. Funny thing is, that I live in Finland.

Can't do anything to stop the black helicopter anyway, so just enjoy the view.

If you use Google, they already have a pretty good idea what you're thinking. They also have image recognition algo ready to roll out. Combine that with a UK style camera surveillance and you have the tech to find anyone at pretty much any time, then triangulate with a cell phone signal. BOOM! says the drone from sky. Threath elimated, carry on people.

Really, the future is becoming present pretty damn fast. If I live until 2050 I bet the world is a radically different place.

I'm not gonna lie, commercial drones sound pretty sweet. Fedex delivery packages to your door with a drone? That's a progressive/innovative company. I'm all for that. What I'm not for is government drones.

This is why I'm a little unsettled by seeing a drone in my city. If it was just a drone, without the additional governmental environmental factors, then I'd be much less concerned. As it stands, the drone is another piece of the puzzle, just as you put it.
 
There's a reason the top 3 concerns for UHNWI are:

Financial ID Theft
Intrusion on Privacy
Information Security Breach

Commercial drones are government drones. It just means that drones can be sold to non-US military (ie, local law enforcement.)

The real purpose of drones is not to catch someone in real time. The purpose is always-on, ultra-high res video blanketing entire cities 24/7.

At that point, catching criminals just requires rewinding from the place & time of any crime and tracing their journey back to their apartment. Game over.

The current publicly acknowledged US military drone capacity is Argus, live video at 1.8 gigapixel. Local police dept. drones are not going to have that resolution right away.
