Ok so I just got a 22 " Samsung kick ass monitor WOOT!

Anyways my graphics card as a DVI input and a D-Sub input can I use each one for a different monitor and hook up both the new a old monitors ?

Damn This Thing is sexy I'm soo stoked

Download "ultramon" and it'll extend your taskbar across both monitors and it'll give you a few helpful buttons on each window such as "switch monitor" and "expand". We all use dual monitors here and I guarantee you'll never go back :)

used dual monitors in late 90s when doing graphic design work and loved it. Have been debating hooking up a second one now for some time.

Research says that a 2nd monitor increases productivity by 25%.

Myself, I find it very useful. No need to switch between windows and stuff like that.

If you have one HUGE ASS monitor like a 30 " apple, then I think you're ok. 2 x 30" i wouldn't refuse, but I can buy a car for that

I don't need this and don't actually know what I'd use all that real estate for but... it sure does make my dick hard.

I think I've got the same monitor as you, that samsung flat screen 22 incher. Damnnnn it's hot.

I believe the best option, concerning price as well, is to get two 19" TFT monitors. Most mid-level graphic cards come out with dual DVI outputs, so the cost is logical. Plus, TFT's now have very slim frames, so you can stick them together and the desktop becomes almost seamless.

Undoubtedly, having 2 monitors increases your productivity a lot. If you are a multitasker, you will be asking yourself why you didn't get them before. And, you will get so addicted to it, that you will feel awkward working on a single monitor setup.

Plus, it's a conversation starter when you have guests:)
