I'm hoping to launch two new sites in the next month. My initial promotion will obviously include posting relevant info in forums and the regular "stuff". Here is my question:

How many e-mail addresses do you have and regularly check? Different ones for different domains/purposes? Or do you have many e-mail addresses but have them all filtered to one account?

Down the line I don't want to be checking 15 e-mail addresses a day! (I already check up on 3)

Would love to hear how you all handle this.

There is a thread somewhere on here about free e-mail addresses and it seems like a lot of people just forward all of their e-mail addy's to their g-mail account so that they only have to check one. I am in the process of doing that now too.

I forward most of my emails to one gmail account. Gmail allows you to change the "From:" field so for example if someone sends you an email at user@trigatch4.com and if you have forwarding setup it will go to your user@gmail.com account. If you want to reply then you can go to gmail and change the from: field to user@trigatch4.com and it will look like you replied from user@trigatch4.com instead of gmail.

Then I use gmail filters. If an email matches certain criteria then they get labeled as trigatch4.com email or what ever. That way I can easily manage all my email with out getting overwhelmed and with out confusing the people I reply to :)
