Ease the transition from Blogger to WP

I recently moved Ideas from blogger to WP. Everyone knows WP is superior, but some (like me) start there because we lack skill and fear new things! haha

Today I looked at some of the articles I uploaded from blogger and damn....I have some work to do editing! If you are a Blogger-blogger, here's some points to keep in mind in case you move it on up to WP someday.
  • Using "justify" messed up the posts-the only way I got it right was to go to "html" and delete the "justify" tag.
  • My pictures didn't transfer-I think they would've if I would've had a url instead of a uploading them from my computer using the blogger prompt.
  • I should've used the default font.
  • Catagorizing posts takes time-make the switch as soon as you can if you post a lot.
  • Save link lists and blog rolls where they can easily be copied-they didn't transfer.
  • Ads didn't transfer
Blogger is a start and any start is better than no start! Its very much worth it to make the switch when you are ready and there's lots of help out there for you.
 


right when i think you couldn't get any more brilliant jan. You go off and figure out how to use bulleted text.

btw i'm not being sarcastic i'm still trying to figure out how to change my text colors.

btw #2. you have an awesome blog. I'm an avid reader, although i never posted on your blogger account cus they like to make a commenters job difficult. Hey sexy pink!

Ahhh....someone else who appreciates the joys of learning the basics! re: my blog, thank you....thank you! :)

Have you tried to post a comment w/my WP blog? Is it easy? I really don't know or know if I have the settings right.

Let me pull out the bullets for another point
  • Blogger makes it difficult to post comments-the comments will transfer with the blog to WP though
Pretty in pink there, Deliguy, but sexy hurts my eyes! haha
