I sold some dude an item for 500 bucks and he paypaled the money...
i sent him the shit and then he did a chargeback on paypal and they took his side even though I basically handed them proof that the dude is ripping me off.

Is there anything I can do? I pretty much just wanna fuck this dude over I don't care THAT much about the money.

any ideas appreciated.

Sounds like a new business plan! This is the second thread I've seen on here where this has happened to a member. The last person it happened to sold an iPhone I believe. I wonder how that ended up?

That's seriously fucked up though. So anybody can buy shit on ebay and just say they didn't get the item and they'll get their money back?

Any self-respecting crack dealer would tell you to shoot him in the face.

Or, find out if he ever tries to sell something, buy it, then chargeback on him.

Chargebacks are fucking ridiculous. You can pay for anything and then chargeback that shit. I have bitches doing chargebacks 5 months after they bought something.

I have heard of that happening to people before. Was it a physical good that was charged back or was it a service or something? Also, what is that image in your sig?

Was it digital item, service or physical goods? With physical shouldn't be any problem as long you have proof of delivery.

Dude that sold the iPhone's buyer said he received an empty box.

Damn, I just remembered I have something up on auction at ebay right now. I hope this shit doesn't happen to me... So if the person pays for the item, can't you just withdraw the money before they have a chance to fuck you?

That was me with the iPhone. Fortunately my buyer was a total dumbass and didn't charge back or file a dispute with Paypal. If they charge back I don't know what you can do. Paypal sucks, period. After my iPhone debacle thats the last thing I'll ever sell on ebay again, it could have turned out way worse for me.

it was a gift card and I still had the gift card number and the store confirmed that they spent it online. I showed this to paypal and I still got fucked...dude said it had the wrong balance on it and he needed it for a cancer research auction so he couldn't use it... they never made him send it back or anything. I looked the dude up and hes a college student

I've seen them pull the funds out of the attached bank account. They will also sell your debt to collections. I've seen both happen.

I am sure future employers would love to know about this when they google his name... I am sure you can figure something out :) Your money's gone... Ebay takes care of their top rated sellers.... everyone else is garbage to them unfortunately.

Release the name, email, and any other contact info you have on him. Wickedfire will do it's worst.

Around 2003ish I sold a website for $4,100 to some dumbass through paypal. One day before the chargeback limit he filed a dispute with Paypal claiming "not as described". Paypal sided with me after I described the situation so the guy did a chargeback with his CC company. Paypal then came after me for the whole $4,100 even though I got under $4,000 after fees.
Luckily I had taken all of the money out but they gave me a -$4,100 balance. They tried to collect, but gave up after they realized I was under 18 at the time. Either way.. it's fucking bullshit that people can do that kind of stuff.
