I propose that anybody who starts a new political thread after November 6th be banned for a week.

Pretty please with puppies and lollipops.

EDIT: Or at least make a politics sub-forum.

As it is, I like to keep up with local, US, British (well, just English and Irish), Israeli, French and German politics...

Scottish politics can be entertaining... the financial crisis has quietened a lot of calls for independence - they realised they wouldn't have able to afford to bail out the banks up there without IMF help.

As for the welsh... [we need a sheep smilie]

BTW, English politics doesn't exist on a national level. The Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish have their own parliaments and assemblies, we don't. :(

Did anyone else see that crazy graphic shit on cnn tonight? I was more intrigued with that then the actual election.

Hey maybe if there is a fancy lightshow, no one will notice the puppetmaster pulling the strings...

In Australia we had CNN and ABC, and ABC coverage was a million times better.

I dont know how it is in the U.S, are ABC better than CNN usually?

Yea, but the stock market is down because the rest of the world didn't respond too well to Obama winning.

If you've been living under a rock for the last couple of months, the stock market has been plunging well before Obama was elected.

Really????? Was I talking about the last couple of months? I think not, but since you want to go down that route, how has the market been the last week? It's been in the green mostly, but o look when a Democratic wins it's down? Maybe you should check the track record of previous elections to see how the market responds to the winner.

Yea it seems as if alex here is either an obama supporter or just a plain sore loser!
