I received a message from Adsense that suggested I alter my site layout so that the images I have above and to the side of the Adsense blocks could not be seen to be associated with the ads.

The 1 pixel border I had around all the images it seems, makes no difference.

This is what I had before - Ferraristi.net, and this is my new layout Aston-Martins.com looks like.

They have given me three days to alter all my sites.

Just thought I would share in case anyone was thinking of going down this route with their site layouts.
 


personally I think the 1px border is supposed to be a sperator not a border on the picture:

You actually making money on the car sites? I've tried and payouts are horrible...
 
That just seems wierd. Isn't Google trying image ads, and pics etc to get more clickthroughs? If your images are enticing people to click on the ad, I don't see why they have a problem, especially considering the images aren't linked to the ad so if someone clicks on the image, it does nothing.

When you're getting clicks and making money with car ads, are you targeting a small niche or just general car ads? Also, are you targeting a geographic area?
 
ive had success with car related stuff... i meant specifically ferrari and aston, etc. type cars...
 
I get very low traffic on the car sites at the moment, but to give you an idea from adsense yesterday on my Bugatti site I made $4.65 from only 8 clicks and on my Lamborghini site $4.00 from 8 clicks. The other car sites are performing in a similar way. On top of that, the Win a Supercar promotion does quite well. Not that many sales but they pay 20%
