Email newsletter service that doesnt require double opt-in?

Are there any email services like aweber or getresponse that don't require double-opt in? For example, I'd just like to put their form on my website to collect email addresses and when a user inputs their email, they don't get another email to confirm.

I just tried iContact, went to spam folder on my yahoo and didnt show up at all in my gmail. Have you successfully sent into these domains before?

Last time I started a new email campaign, I selected no confirmed opt in, yet they still sent that damn confirmation email out.

I have always been under the impression aweber requires the double opt in. Unless you can prove that there has been some sort of other opt in.

If I'm not mistaken once you switch on the double opt-in option in Aweber it's on for good. But single opt-in is an option if you don't mess with it.

i use get response and have double opt-in turned off.. doesn't email anyone, just builds my list
