Email Submit Publishers - 1K Weekly And How To Get There

It seems like small to mid size forums would be perfect for this--users arent as used to promotions, ads, stickies, and so forth... you might get more consideration.

+rep of course... "Wicked Fire. We hate bullshit."

this is my 1st post on WFire after registration. I would say this thread and post is great. I seldom read about such solid information for free in other forums . Gotta plan and implement it soon. Thanks!

tie your dick in a knot and jump off a cliff.

That quote alone is worth +rep.

Awesome post, Ruck. I've actually been trying this out over the last two weeks, believe it or not, but not with an e-mail submit, and not with a sticky, just a picture signature.

I'll have to run a couple of ideas past you because this has serious potential.

This is not Part 2 but rather a continuation of part 1 because of the gigantic amount of fucking pm's that have hit me:

There were some questions raised so far about email submits and sticky posts in niche forums. As stated I've fucked this up before too and people have gotten pissed. That really is the beauty about staying anonymous on the web when you are doing that type of stuff. However, out of all those questions I really did not see any type of networking or problem solving so I guess I will jump back in here and throw out some ideas but I leave up to you to imagine the possibilities of this.

First off the whole sponsor idea works because you are coming off as a professional and add the fact that you could possibly to even more promotions with that forum, they will be expecting money from you each month. This is a good thing especially if the forum responds well. You want to keep these owners on a leash and milk it for all it's worth. Seriously, I've been to hundreds of forums online and this thing is hardly touched which is quite surprising to me considering the limited offer base with all the CPA networks out there. You might think there are tons and tons but I assure you that once you get to the point where you are speaking with other networks, owners and advertisers every day, it truly is a small world.

Tactic #1 – Go International – Fuck this goes without saying. There are plenty of International offers to take this with. I guarantee you that you are going to tap untouched sources of traffic every day if you take this seriously. Seriously, I am going to keep this idea very short and to the point. Think of all the forums and offers you could tie together out there and then think about the UK, Canada, Australia and anything else you can come up with. Loads of traffic for cheap testing.

Tactic #2 – Polls – Yes this topic has been beat to death but frankly it works. I see affiliates banking with polls everyday. If you dont feel comfortable with a sponsorship type sticky a poll is a good weapon of mass deception. I say deception because essentially (for example) you are going to go to a Miley Cyrus fan forum and have a poll created comparing her last two albums. Of course how you structure the poll is entirely up to you but the backend should be a demographically related offer. Test this type of polling EVERYWHERE and every topic. I will give you a personal example of a poll that absolutely annihilated for me. I simply compared Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson's Joker rolls and had a free movie tickets email submit running. Of course I got owned on this offer after about 5 days in which I traded it out for an itunes gift card. I only spent one night gathering forums because frankly there were just too many places I could have tried this out with. Poll everywhere you can and test it.

Tactics # 3 – Product Polling – This is something that can be freaking nuts if you get this down. Honestly I wont bullshit you here. I've tapped the bizopps and weight loss niches with this quite a bit in the past. I've even passed on successful campaigns and ideas to affiliates because I simply dont have the time for this type of stuff as much as I used to. If you were in a health forum you could simply poll something like Acai Berry vs. Green Tea. Of course your poll needs to be constructed so that your “information” links for people who dont know what these products are go simply into your cpa landers. Picking out the best converting offers here is essential so always check what is running the best in these types of niches.

These are just a few tips of how to utilize sticky threads in forums. I encourage you to not ask questions about what COULD happen but rather ask questions after you have tried it. I'm pretty much to the point where I hardly answer anyone anymore if they have not tried something simply because it's a waste of time. Put your thinking caps on and hunt down some of these forums. There is a forum for almost everything these days.

When you say gather are we talking 40 or 50 forums here? And am I right in assuming that you paid for all those sticky posts, this wasn't just posting on the forum yea?

So with these polls you create leads through one of two ways? Either by offering a related link or offering an "information" link about the products you are talking about?

How do you disguise the links so that admin/mods do not ban you for AFFL links? Or is it that most admins of small/medium forums are not aware of this either? :)

@Dbwebdev - that may be going to the extreme. Look at the traffic registered with each forum and make assessments. Look at site analytics and you will get an idea of traffic frequenting the forum. Stop asking and start testing!

@Falian - The idea is to create a poll on your site and drive them away from the forum to it. Answering the poll on your site is likely to have people replying. No affiliate links in the forum. Your in Wickedfire not Warrior Forum so get creative.

This is simple. Your just paying for more traffic so the idea would be to get them AWAY from the forum onto your page/site where you work your magic.

Ahh, so you didn't mean a poll thread on the forum itself with relevant links in the thread then .... my mistake!

This is a great thread, combining email submits and matching them with niche forums is genius.

Part 2 – There is a reason why I wanted you to start off with basic banner advertising and moving into writing ads for sticky posts within forums and here is why. This is some of the absolute EASIEST advertising you can do. In a nutshell you will be negotiating with the forum owners for opportunities to mail their members. Most forums by default are setup so that members can receive emails from the adminstrators. Whatever the case may be you need to inquire first that the forum is capable of mailing it's members.

If you have followed along so far then hopefully you have already setup a professional relationship between yourself and the owners. By being a good advertiser month in and month out and operating professionally by working ad rates with your profits you are only going to help yourself on this next bit.

You want to approach the forum owner as you did before. Although this time you want to strictly mail your offer to the forum members. This is one of the fastest ways to advertise by email cheaply. I see and speak with marketers everyday and one of the largest complaints I hear is “I dont have data to mail”. Well honestly with as many forums as there are out there, you should have more than fucking plenty of data to get started. I hear people talking about “renting” or “borrowing” data to mail and I got to tell you that I have been there and tried that. Unfortunately, I've been fucked more times than I care to share but I have come across some excellent resources that I continue to use. Unforunately as a marketer these sources remain anonymous to ensure that they remain exclusive. Whereas there are far too many forums to tap for one person or one company so sharing this really has no repercussions.

When I think of buying or renting data I honestly do not want to deal with someone that is ACTUALLY doing it. When you deal with people who sell or rent data, chances are that data has been monetized in some form, could have been spammed, could have been stolen, you just dont know these days. Buying data from forums is clean. It's pure. Chances are that less than 1% of the forums you go looking for probably have not emailed promotions to their members. Unfortunately for them this is a horrible marketing strategy. Fortunately for you, you have just slid your ass into a position that can be consistently lucrative.

Here's an example scenario:

Voting is coming up. I've seen email submits for presidential t-shirts asking who you will vote for. There are many voting email submits floating around. Now I want to seek forums that I think would be good for such a promotion. I want to find 10-12 but no more. Once I find this many, I simply go ask the webmaster. Also, you really should put in your phone number and ask for theirs as well. Emailing owners back and forth is really for pussies. Get on the phone and make this shit happen. Speaking on the phone is likely to increase the chances of snagging this webmaster into your marketing circle of pain.

Tell the webmaster you are hosting a voting poll between McCain and Obama. Write a descriptive ad people because once it's mailed, you cannot change it. If you are struggling with that part, go to the network where you got the offer and you will likely have text and email ads already made up for you. A little note on compliance: Make sure that if you alter the emails you are sending out to check with your managers to make sure it's ok.

This is not hard at all and does not take a whole deep thought analysis. Essentially you are just taking advantage of every advertising resource that the forums have to offer. You also have a bargaining chip because when you approach the owner you should make this dead simple for them.

If they have no idea what to charge then simply look at the forum and come up with something until you both agree. Once you mail the forum once you will know what an estimated response rate will be for future promotions. When you come to a forum owner and say “All you need to do is copy this email text I am sending you, send it out to your forum members and I will pay you $250” that is a really powerful message. They know that for a few seconds of their time to hit a fucking “send” button they are going to make money.

Also, some owners just have no fucking clue how to monetize their members. When you approach them as a professional who can help them and pay them their ad rates you are going to peak their interest. You will know when this happens because some of these fucks will want Rev-share. I do not suggest taking on partners and Rev-Share unless you think it's good for you. I much prefer standard one-time rates and paying the owner more if it works out well.

This is one of the absolute fastest ways to simply get traffic to cpa offers. (or anything for that matter). This is really geared towards those that are starting out or those experienced affiliates that can outsoruce wisely. I got to tell you that to do this on a massive level you really need a sidekick. Once you get the hang of it the first time you are going to be Ace.

Great post again Ruckus. I have found a few good niche forums right now and they all seem extremely interested in doing stickies/ad promotion because, as you said, they don't know how to effectively monetize their program.

Right now I am setting up a payment system with the owners, XX amount to do advertise and then XX more if the advertisement see's through.

Thanks a bunch, you have posted many innovative ideas to get affl. revenue.
