Alright, it has been talked about before --> http://www.wickedfire.com/shooting-shit/132312-seo-contests.html , but nothing happened.

secretagentdad and me got talking and..

Now here it comes, the SEO contest at the edge of the Mayan Apocalypse.

LET THE DISCUSSION BEGIN

Idea gathering first, I will throw down the rules on January 9 (next Monday)

So far, these are the ideas:

- Real term competition, medium difficulty
OR
- Bullshit term with 0 results (Nigritude Ultramarine, etc..)

- Newly registered domain

- 30 days from start of the competition to top spot in google.com.

- Your forum name needs to be visible somewhere on the page so we can verify it (you could hide it in the source somewhere, also legit)

Any ideas?

Prizes

So far, IN THE OLD THREAD

Nice thing about a real term would be that everyone has a money making asset after the contest - more motivation, too.

What if we rank a members name for a term. Like grindstone for #1 seo virtual assistant?

Real term for incentive though if it's a team based thing how would it all work? Or is it an individual comp?

If it were a team thing I think it'd be great to have the more popular (considered authorities on the forum) as team captains? This will make it interesting instead of having a team full of wizards.

It'd be interesting, make it a competitive term but not bullshit hard.

My opinion would be an individual competition.
If you want to team up behind the scenes, well, nothing can be done about that.

@Mont

Cool.
Does it also stand if the decision is made for a real term?
