Sure, there's gonna be some beaks and claws drop off in that every now and then; their concerns at the processing plants are mainly to keep that to an acceptable minimum, whatever that is.

Whatever goes above that acceptable minimum gets sold as pet food- some of it also goes to feed the chickens that are next in line. So this setup produces, literally, no waste.
