It should come as no surprise that Grindstone won, he's the only gay webmaster who represented some big brands at 1 point!!1one!

How To Come In 5th

I got pretty lazy - after the third day - but I guess everybody else did too - except for those who planned to zoom in at the end. So I did almost everything in the first week or so - and then a little at the end.

I am guessing, that with setup and everything, I spent about 4 hours working on this. I did make $1.67, plus I get to use Cardine's spinner (priceless), so it's not all a loss. :)

  1. I sparingly used accounts from BMR, ALN, Linkamotion, and SocialAdr . I mean I need this stuff to pay bills. I think I did 1 socialadr run to the front page, and a half dozen of everything else.
  2. I submitted the RSS feed around to RSS feed places with a nifty RSS feed submitter thing.
  3. A buddy threw me a link from a couple of private blogs with semi-related content. If this had been a real exercise, for money, I certainly would have pursued more of this. I am considering redirecting the site to my buddy, as payback, but have not really thought about it much.
  4. I also used my free onehourbacklinks credits once for low-end blog comments to the site - and a couple of 2nd tier pages that linked to the site.
  5. I made a crappy squidoo page and threw some crappy backlinks at it.
  6. I submitted an article about something or other to submityourarticle.
  7. I threw in a couple of bookmark runs from DFB to the site - and to my web 2.0 page. I also used DFB to hit everything with limited profile links.
  8. I tried to use internal links well - but then Bofu2u nicely demonstrated that I was so ADD I targetted dog snuggies, instead of dog snuggie - and yes, that makes a difference. So I switched back late in the game. I think that mistake cost something - but it was probably instuctive enough to be worth it.

I actually would like to know how Wright managed to get #2 spot on both Yahoo and Bing.

I never managed to get in the top-10 of these 2 fucked up SEs. (Not that I care, but still curious)
 
I don't want any of the prizes. I was just doing it to fuck around plus I am not technically allowed to win anyway. You guys can give my shit to #3...or #1 or whatever. The only prizes I'd want anyway are nanexo and bofus shit. But I already pay full price for BoFus tool because he is a sketchy queer. And nanexo is only giving his price to the winner (cheater).
