This is a bit more geeky take on the "web 2.0" video.

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-4CV05HyAbM&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-4CV05HyAbM&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Interesting for people interested in information architecture, classification etc.. or an open mind.

Others... you'll be bored as hell.

Cool presentation... but nothing surprising... and I think a bit misguided, actually.

We *need* categories. Psychologically, we need to be able to group things, or it all turns to chaos. Tagging just means something can go in multiple categories, not that he information has been enhanced; our organization of the information has just gotten more flexible.

Star Wars action figures can be labelled Toys, Collectibles, Plastic, and whatever other numerous tags. Instead of having to exercise arbitrary boundaries and place things in one category that doesn't quit fit something completely, we can give things multiple descriptive terms that give it more dimensions, making it more realistic.

I think a word we'll be seeing a lot in the next few years will be "context." Where are you coming from and what are you doing? These things will affect your information search, potentially making it faster and more targeted.
