Okay so I've had this happen way too many times for it to be a coincidence, but today I just got back from playing basketball with a classmate I haven't seen since High School. And I log into Facebook and his name pops up into the "People you may know" feed. Really creepy.
I've also had this happen when I was out at a bar that an old classmate was at, and I see him in the "people you may know" again.
Also, one of my friends neighbors came to a party they were having and now she's poppin' up too.
Call it a similar case to ad blindness if you want, but I'm not buying it. I noticed this all after I got my smartphone (I was way late to the game, only had one for about the past 12 months. Long story).
TL;DR: Pretty sure facebook's algorithym tracks your GPS location and knows who you're with all the time. Creepy.
