Facebook, Washington state sue alleged ad scammer - Computerworld

Jan. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Facebook Inc. and Washington State sued Adscend Media LLC for running a $20 million-a-year spam scheme that leads social-media users to advertising sites by offering fake links to salacious videos.

Lawsuits were filed in federal courts in Seattle and California today, Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna and Facebook lawyer Craig Clark said. The Adscend scheme spreads when a post that appears to come from a friend appears on a person’s Facebook page with a link to a video, McKenna said at a news conference in Seattle.

This is complete BS,

Adscend was one of the companies that did not allow it.


I talked to the owner over a year ago about this exact thing. for some reason Facebook has had a hard on from them.

I believe the reason is that another company kinda threw them under the bus.

It starts with CPA and ends with Lead.


If Facebook and the AG should be suing anyone it is those shady fucks. I have always felt they where a honey pot for this shit and because of them people get CD and are being sued left and right.


Adscend is a good company and this lawsuit really pisses me off knowing they did nothing compared to the other places.

Yeah Fehzan is one of my good friends, we go back. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I hope the best for them.
 
This really sucks Adscend is one of my top CPA networks I run with. Attorney Generals do not pick fights unless they know they have enough evidence to win because they have to win about 90%+ of their cases to get reelected. Plus Facebook is suing too... FUCK. I pray for a miracle.
