Favorite PS2/PS1 Game?

After all the video game threads here lately, I decided to buy a PS2 to Hd-something cable so I can plug my PS2 into my 27" monitor. I'm gonna resume FF8 from where I left off a few years ago lol. If I remember correctly... FF8 is boring compared to FF7 or FFX?

What other good PS2/ps1 games are there? Here is my todo/finished list so far:

-ico
-shadow of the coliseum
-ffx, ff12, ff7, ff9
-Socom series
-Jack and Dexter 1
-Sly
-Devil May Cry 1
-Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
-All metal gears <-- best series ever IMO

IDK about FF tactics since I remembered that game sucked tons of time and was hard as fuck. I might get FFx-2 since I like that world a lot. I'm not a big GTA fan either.

Any recommendation would be appreciated.
 


Socom was pretty much only good for it's online play and they took the servers down. I know you're not a big GTA fan but Vice City was a lot of fun. Midnight Club was pretty entertaining, same with Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4.

EDIT: Also, Devil May Cry 3 and Resident Evil 4.
 
FF of course, don't remember which one, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (2 or 4, Idk), Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX, Silent Hill. edit: And/or Resident Evil, it's been so long since I've played PS..

This game was the shit and the soundtrack just made it 10x better.
 
FFVIII, and VIII sucked!!!

and if we want to go old school for SNES, I say FFVI.. Still Kefka all the way!!. and Chrono Trigger.. still classics.. I had to take it there

On topic: PS1 - tomb raider and some game by a Swedish developer where you race through tunnels really fucking fast in some kind of spaceship shooting stuff up to a techno soundtrack. Fun times.
