Favorite PS2/PS1 Game?

FF8 has arguable the weakest story, featuring a team of 6 characters 5 of which having the exact same back story and are all about the same age and can all do pretty much everything except for some limit breaks being better than others. It also has the most needlessly complex ability system in FF history. I still like the game, I loved all the SeeD stuff (especially the battle between the two gardens), some of the music was good and fit the settings, still many of the characters left much to be desired and the game had probably the worst villain ever, maybe even worse than lost oddessey. It's definitely one of the weakest FF games, I would probably rate it second to last but I hate the leveling system in FF2 the most and it kind of ruins the game for me.

Agreed. I never understood why people liked FF8. There were many elements of the game I just didn't like. FF8 felt like an inferior product compared to FF7, and other FF games.

Kingdom hearts 1 and 2 orginally I wouoldn't of ever played the game if a friend had not convinced me to try it. I ended up loving it.

I have been waiting on 3 for fucking ages (everyone has).
