Feds to stop prosecuting medical marijuana users

The time is coming, off to clean out my bongs

see where your state stands

^^ That's just decriminalization laws BTW.

It's a felony in all states, cuz its still illegal under federal law, regardless of the medicinal use or not.

All the feds are doing is stop wasting their time going after the users, and concentrating more on the source.

By felony I'm saying if I get pulled over with a gram, I get a 1K fine + a year in prison.

Does that happen in NY, CA, etc? Nopez. (By does that happen I'm referencing towards prison for possession 1st offense)

You lucky bastards. In Croatia, you get at least 1 year of jail for possessing any marijuana. Fucking churches and their shitty influence...

The existence of the Baltimore-DC Metro area in the state(which I think makes up a large percentage of the state's population) probably puts a lot of pressure on politicians to have to appear to be "tough on crime", which often leads to nonsensical stances which are often not much more than posturing.
I generally support state's rights(something conservatives supposedly used to care about) so I like this decision.

Its been pretty much decriminalized in CA (LA area at least).. Worst you get is a slap on the wrist.. and this is if you are NOT a med patient. If you're a med patient, cops CAN fuck with you (90% don't). When you go to court, if you've got your script, you get your pot back. This is actually a huuuuuge step for medical marijuana. This means that as long as people are using it as they're supposed to.. and are not growing more than they're allowed (I want to say 6 plants.) they will not get hassled.

Fixed for accuracy.

You do know virtually anyone can get 'medical' marijuana, right? California's a joke in that regard. I mean, it was a clever gambit. First semi-legalize 'medical' marijuana for those with 'chronic' ailments. Then slowly reduce and eliminate enforcement for those scamming the system. And you're left with a system where it's basically legal. I don't particularly care, but don't get your panties in a twist when I point out he's basically legalizing it.

FUCK! in Australia you have to get caught with pot soooo many times and then, maybe then you will go to jail, hardly ever though. Ive not met anyone in Oz who has gone to jail for pot except of course the dealers and shit and even then they have to be caught a few times.

And even then it's fuck all jail time.

If you got a medical license, I believe you can grow 12 plants for yourself.

Also, I know someone who grows for other people, and they do 12 plants per "client" that they have. Not 100% if that's actually legal, but hey, whatever! It's all gonna be soon. :cool-smiley-008:

And, you should move to San Diego man, where the air is clean, and the beach hunnies are plentiful. :338:

I live in NY. Possession of under an ounce is a $100 ticket. Everyone I know that got caught with possession didn't even get that. I'd love for legalization to come about, but for now that's pretty damn close.
