I need to fix a problem in a hurry.

I have a substantially large batch of files that are riddled with capital letters and spaces in the filenames. Is there a quick way to find and replace these with underscores and lowercase? I thought that maybe Notepad++ would do this, but no luck so far. Probably a relatively easy solution out there, I've just never ran into this problem in the past.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, good thought, guess it wouldn't be all that hard to code and run a script. There is probably a program out there that makes this really easy to do on Windows too... I'll google for about 10 more minutes, then I'll just write the script lol

^ I don't think the 1st one has the option to change to lowercase (edit: oh, it does after all..), havent tried the 2nd one.

Yeah, they're both pretty similar and can do all that the OP is looking for and much more. I think the second one is a bit more powerful in that you can write custom regex plugins for it and the maker has a little forum where they share these, but my needs were never that great, mostly just sorting music collections out.
