Firefox 4

Thought it was cool too until it started building up to 1.6g memory usage and getting real slow all the time (Win7). Seems to be another memory leak problem like in their earlier versions.

Had to drop back down to 3.xx.

Also I don't think they have a way to save all your tabs like 3 does. There'sa tab group feature but it doesn't actually save for later use.

Seems like flash components will cause it to crash more than expected, v3.6 is more stable imo. It's still a memory hog, especially when you open and close tabs constantly.

Well that sucks. That's one of my favorite features.

:uhoh2:

Same. Kept thinking I was doing something wrong because everytime I tried to make a group it ended up just deleting all my tabs instead. Read around and seems other people didn't have much luck with it either.

No idea why they took that out.

EDIT: just to make sure I wasnt missing anything before posting this I did a quick search and found this:

Firefox 4 doesn't save tabs

Seems it will save on exit at least with a tweak using about:config. But not sure if there is a way to save to a folder like in 3 for multiple groups which is what I wanted.

PIsses me off, I want to go back to 3.6 for Mac. Like alot of times it shuts off the internet or something, like click on a link or type it and it doesn't even go anywhere, not even an error and I always have to force quit. FF4 FTL

This is a great tool I use for all my staff as well as my VA's It is the firefox session manager add on, it will do all you want + more....

Firefox Session Manager

You can set this up for different tasks or employees and then it will open for them just the way you specify. Also you can have one setup for SEO one for Sales or whatever. Saves us a ton of time.

I have had nothing but problems with the new Firefox.

On a Mac - freezing, tabs randomly separating into their own windows, crashing, crashing again when trying to restore a crashed session, etc.

I made the switch back to Safari...

FF keeps gobbling memory to the point it reaches around 200mb on PC with a few tab open. Could be one of the add-ons, but none of the appears ressource intensive.

Wow lot of people facing the same issues ... tht it was just me.... I'm on a Mac ... went back to chrome.

The interface is nice - much like Chrome almost but, lots and lots of crashing. I don't think flash does very well either. Having Pandora open is almost like an instant crash.

Fuckin trash yet again, I've waited as long as I could but I'm starting to use Chrome more and more these days. I just wish their plugins would catch up such as tree tabs.

I don't think i've opened firefox in a year unless it was to use a specific plugin. Guess I'm drinking the google chrome koolaid :)

Just downloaded it a week ago...I think it's an improvement over some of the previous versions of Firefox. Seems faster and slightly less bulky. Starting to remind me of Chrome.

Although I still need to use FF for certain plugins, there is something I don't like about FF. Can't put my finger on it just yet.

As a daily browser...

...I'm sticking with SRWare Iron.

new firefox = chrome (speed and interface) + plugins (functions)
ultimate browser solution.

Used to love Firefox... Now it's just slow and fails to load everything properly. Went to Chrome -- Pretty happy with it.

EDIT : IE made some improvements -- but I still commend it as one of the shittiest browsers out there....

Can anyone give any insight on better Web Browsers? (Opera, Safari, etc.)
