Firefox or IE?

i like chrome but i dont really use it much since google records everything. firefox is my go to.
Firefox. So much easier to design for. Sometimes IE gives me a headache. Although, I think firefox crashes alot more than IE but that just might be my plugins.
I've been a dedicated FF user for seriously like 5 fucking years... Wouldn't TOUCH any other browser...
....Until I tried Chrome.
Haven't fired FF up in a few weeks now. Not once.
I use Iron, which is a 1 off of Chrome, and I just love it.
I refused over and over and over again to even CONSIDER anything but FF... And then I finally tried it, got a few plugins for it, and it's fucking perfect.

Notice that lifehacker doesn't even bother to include IE in their tests now :

I use Opera for almost all my browsing, but go back to Firefox to use my addons or when compatibility becomes an issue (which happens a lot).
Quite possibly the dumbest poll I've ever seen.
Although on a related note; NetApps did just release the stats for Jan 2010 and IE6 has finally been dethroned from being the most widely used browser, unfortunately it lost marketshare to IE8 but that's better than nothing I guess.

Interesting. According to W3 Schools which uses a fairly broad sampling, IE6 was dethroned more than 2 years ago and Firefox is by far the most popular browser.

I'd tend to believe the stats from something like W3Counter which takes 15,000 page views from each of over 30,000 websites more than stats from a single site. Unfortunately they don't break the IE versions down, but their numbers are closer to W3 Schools as well.

As I said earlier though, the only stats you should care about are the ones from your own server logs. Look at them and decide for yourself.
^ Yeah, I agree your own server logs are the best resources. Most of my client sites and affiliate sites show 50% or higher on IE users, and my more specialized 'techy' sites have a more even distribution of 25 / 25 / 25 / 25 FF, IE, Safari/Chrome, Other.
And FF and IE overall hold just about the same market share, IE6 was the most popular version of Microsoft's browser as of the end of 2009. I should have included more resources on my post, I was just happy to see IE6 fall from the spot.
