IE sucks for designers because Microsoft thinks they can make their own standard. I use FF though it seems to be getting buggier, only because of the FireBug extention. I use Chrome when just normally searching the web.

Chrome somehow creeped up on me and stole my heart. I honestly don't even remember installing it, but one day I just realized that I'm using it daily and could never go back to FF.

Firefox

Definitely Firefox on Window or Mac. They are just about the same. Firefox is by far easier to customize the way you want it.

Even though as of recently IE is much more secure than anything (firefox included) and Chrome is about as unsecure as it can get I'm using Chrome - I love the speed and draggable tabs.

If someone were to create a draggable tabs plugin for IE, i'd switch in an instant

IE8 has indeed come quite a ways, and actually rather happy for it in a webdeveloper's point of view, less work for me to keep things cross browser compatible. Now if we can all just unanimously decide to kill IE6 at the very least once and for all.

Way to bring this one back from the dead ;)

And any affiliates seriously use IE? That is the worst browser ever. I cringe every time as I check my landers in IE

I am constantly requested to make a lander or other site compatible with IE6, cuz such and such complained. Oddly seems now days whoever I work with directly rarely ever use IE6, but they almost always come back later requesting this or that fixed for it (they really should look at their own browser stats more often and make judgement from that)

One trend Ive noticed from Prosper is that practically the whole internet uses IE, so I guess its just something we have to deal with.

Can't YouTube, Facebook, Myspace, and Yahoo just kill IE6 by stopping support for it? I would party hard!

Google has pretty much said its no longer supporting IE6 on any of it's products (google apps, mail, etc) as of march. I do not know if that extends to youtube or not, but basically IE6 would get bare functionality kinda like an already unsupported browser would.

well it's already IE-8 into the market. Don't know whey people are still talking about IE-6. But, IE-6 is really sucking as most of the applications doesn't load fastly.

Most people don't run windows update as often as they should, possibly because of the number of people using an older version of XP, and unable to get past the activation check (thus unable to do automatic updates)

If everyone just ran windows update just once, they'd all have IE8 cuz IE8 is marked as a 'critical update', and would get installed even in express mode.

The reason we even talk about it, is because it keeps showing out in our stats.

For example , my lowly kbeezie.com , has 6.92% of it's traffic as Internet explorer (Safari is 9%, Firefox 50%, and Chrome 25%), of that 8% is IE6, 20% is IE7, and 71% is IE8, the remaining is IE 5 or unknown.

Chrome any day, its fucking fast. I find FF is slow as fuck, followed by IE. Though FF is good for add ons, and Chrome for everything else. IE just sucks overall.
