First ever guitar recording. What do you guys think ?

Acoustic and metal guitar wren't going along together imho. Each part separate was good to me if that means something to you coming from a layman.

It sounds like you took 3 totally different tracks in Garage Band and mashed them together creating a clusterfuck of noise.

The 2 guitars need to be separated. When I could concentrate on 1 guitar track, I was able to hear good stuff. Leave 1 in and let's see how it sounds.

I just finished mine too [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOdpX6dcrU4]Fart Sounds - YouTube[/ame]

Keep jamming away man!

Lot of criticism. Give the guy a fuckin break.

Why? Why is he sharing his FIRST EVER recording anyways? Why not wait until he knows what he's doing and post something good instead of some half-assed first try?

This isn't mom's fridge.

THIS. IS. WICKEDFIRE.

I think it sounds cool, well done. I've always been a fan acoustic melodies overlayed w/ solos.

A few subjective thoughts being a guitar player and producer:

-Guitar 1 and drums are cool. They carry the right type of mood the whole way.

-Beginning with Guitar 1 starts out awesome and I am let down emotionally when Guitar 2 comes in. Not what I am expecting. I am expecting something more like at :56 with Guitar 3.

-Guitar 2 and Guitar 3 compete with each other too much. In crux moments it's probably okay to have them both, but as it is now they aren't meshing right and it takes away from the emotion of each.

-I would use a lot less Guitar 2. I would also considering replacing some Guitar 1 parts with Guitar 2 and vice versa.

Just a few thoughts. Overall I like it. I'm a big fan of this type of music. Reminds me of "Musical Death" by Testament :)

Not bad for someone's first try at recording. As someone has pointed out,you gotta work on mixing.

Too much going on with that track. The competing sounds muddle each other out.

But for a first track, it's pretty good.
