The season will be starting soon, so who is your pick for going all the way? I'm picking my Carolina Panthers to do some damage this year.

I think if Football players were allowed to carry and use bats during play it would make the game a lot more entertaining and fun to watch.

lol agreed

Redskins have a shot at making it half way through the playoffs this year. Got Randel-El baby!!

Ravens are going all the way this year.

McNair is our solution to QB, Jamal will have a big year, Ray will get pumped up and play at his 2000ish form, and we finally have decent receivers.

...

Ok, so McNair goes out for the rest of the season in the second game, boller has his usual mediocre season, Jamal just manages to break 1k yards, and the defense is run ragged because the offense can't stay on the field. All because we can't get a decent offensive line.

yea, the Ravens always seem to missing some crucial part of the puzzle. I don't like to play them however poorly they are playing, they have some studs on defence - that's for sure.

We don't really do Football in the netherlands. I've been in the US for a short period when I was younger. So i did go to school there and noticed football was pretty big there :D, I liked it though as a sport, need to see some physical action and dangerous situations to make it amusing i guess

Everyone says that mcnair completes the puzzle for us. We got the receivers last season, the defense is still top 10, and our running game is solid.

The biggest problem, and what will kill us this year, is the offensive line. Mcnair is too fragile to take the kind of hits he will with our subpar line.

I'm more of a College football guy.... being from OKC I really hope OU can put together a better season this year!

McNair is going to crack under the pressure!

I'm a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan. Hopefully Carson Palmer will be healthy to start the season. If he is then I think they'll have a good shot, although their schedule is alot tougher this year (after winning the division last year).

I was actually disappointed to see palmer go down in that game. Being a Ravens fan, I hope the bengals lose every game, but he was really nice young qb

The Bengals? That's as improbable as my pick! Does anyone know what the major predictions have been so far (SI, Sporting News, ESPN and Fox Sports talking heads) have had to say on the matter.

Hey now, they're not the old Bengals anymore! They won their division last year, and they've got one of the better offenses in the NFL. They just need to improve their defense, and I think they will.

And the Vikings really aren't that crazy of a pick either. The NFC has been pretty wide open lately.

I agree with everything you say, although you misinterpret my Viking's comment. They may be the greatest football team ever this year. They probably still won't win the super bowl. This is not me being negative. This is an evolutionary defense against repeated disappointment. I always am cured at the exactly wrong time. The Vikings seem to only thrive when underestimated.

Letting Marvin Lewis get away was one of the sadder days in Baltimore. There was no way to really keep him, but most Raven fans who know anything realize he was more responsible for our super bowl than billick.

Im actually curious as to the early predictions as well. Id say the colts are gonna be up there, bengals, steelers are strong, and a few other teams could surprise everyone. Was an interesting off season :)

Cincinnati is pretty glad you guys let him go though! Hiring Marvin Lewis is about the only thing that owner Mike Brown has done right in the past fifteen years, but luckily that was enough to turn things around.
