Former Canadian minister Paul Hellyer claims 'Aliens already walk among us '

Oh look, it's this myth again. :cool2:

The main group leading the "hooplah" is the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and they were established in 1988. On their wiki page there is a 5 sentence summary about their upcoming 2014 report and it contains the word "warming" 3 times.

A non-myth about them would be that they dont release their data on which they publish on the basis that others would just try to prove them wrong (thats how science works). Their articles dont appear in peer reviewed journals because nobody cant be arsed to review their unverifiable bullshit. But its good enough for the mass media i guess.

They do, for example, use more data from metropolitan areas (than in the past), which would obviously skew the results in favor of some kind of warming. This doesnt have to be the case but they keep the data so nobody can actually figure stuff out.

Based on their potentially skewed data, they build models and let some computers figure out that there will be warming.

They try to shame "non-believers" instead of convincing them by way of being right.

They hold their data hostage so that anyone who wants to actually have a career in the field has to buy into their agenda.

Science is usually done by people who have a position guaranteed for life, which shields them from political repercussions. The intergovernmental panel on climate change is a multinational agency that tries to undermine the freedom scientists have in carrying out their job to create results favoring their claims. Whether they do that in spite of or because of better knowledge doesnt matter at that point. Global warming is a topic scientists arent allowed to research freely, closely resembling the way german historians cant publish anything that would allege the third reich having cost less lives than is "public knowledge".

They do all this on the basis that they are the best at what they do and others need not even try. They put out absolute truths because they can and dont need opposing shitheads to shit all over their brilliant work.

Science is only good science when it fits the leaders agenda

Enjoy

So David Bowie was right all along then ...

The IPCC as an organization does not conduct original research, just like Rotten Tomatoes does not review movies. They publish reports that are said to be a summary of the peer reviewed work. Each report cites 100s of references to publicly available papers.

"The full IPCC report, most of which is written by scientists about specific scientific topics in their areas of expertise, is an admirable description of research activities in climate science." - Richard Lindzen, global warming skeptic that has authored parts of IPCC reports

Canadian Reactions To Sir David King by Richard S. Lindzen

So it would appear that even a skeptic like Lindzen doesn't have a problem with the "data" part of IPCC reports in regards to their accuracy as a compendium, but what he does criticize is the IPCC's Summary for Policymakers, which is the part with the most government involvement.

Let's say global warming is as bad as many in the climate science community suggest.

Then what?

The cost to replace all fossil fuel burning plants, and replace them with alternative/renewable sources would cost nearly half of all worldwide taxable revenue for one year. Do you think that it is possible to cut all government spending, subsidies, entitlement, pensions and welfare programs in order to pay for it?

The alternative of course is to wait for private businesses to replace fossil, which they're in the process of doing. Most available estimates put private business replacing most fossil fuels within 30 years using new storage systems (CNTs) and high efficiency solar/wind at no cost to consumers.

So, if it's true you can either start a worldwide depression ,or just wait it out. There truly isn't much of a choice.

I've seen a few of his videos. It's pretty interesting stuff, although it's impossible to know if any of it has any weight.

I think there's definitely life out there besides us, but I'm not sure if they would even care about us.

Point 1.You only believe what "works" for you, based on how you've been led to think.

With that said, things exist beyond current, commonplace acceptance and historically people in "power" (government and otherwise) have been known and shown to lie for whatever reason.

Everyone here knows this (hopefully) and either accepts or rejects the severity or possibility of whatever "lie" based on Point 1.

Whatever "truth" or "fact" up for debate by the hoi polloi or those not within the "inner circles of power" that remains hidden, generally remains hidden until...
  1. all involved parties or "concerned parties of importance" are dead
  2. no severe repercussion will or can occur as a result of the revelation
  3. there is no way to "convict the crime" / "change the outcome"
  4. few people care so no controversy happens
  5. enough doubt about "facts" exists until "truth" is "debatable" or "relative"

Unless they bring world peace, we all get to travel in outer space, fly, get super powers, live forever or somehow otherwise evolve past this muck "we" currently are in, "it doesn't really matter".

Sheep minded people will either want to make them the new race to worship or the new race to enslave.

I need to see a body or have some piece of alien technology so far above what we can do that its origins were out of this world. I've seen this guy before, hes been saying the same spiel for a while. We need more than credible testimony we need hard evidence. Just like the guy who claims to have killed a bigfoot this week. Many people would love to discover that there has been a north american primate of some sort all this time but until a body can be seen it's hopeless. Also this same guy was behind a 2008 hoax. So odds of this lasted bigfoot being legit is approx .01%

Do you know the current "limits" of technology?
