Forum Creation ?

Xenforo looks real promising. I bought two licenses when they first came out.

vBulletin is pretty good, the new owners (Internet Brands) have made a real mess of development in the last year, so that could change.
 


SMF and MyBB is both good. The new version of PHPBB should also be good (said someone).
 
Xenforo looks pretty damn good. The biggest advantage of VB is all of the mods on vbulletin.org

Licenses don't expire during the BETA period. From Beta Release Date and Pricing | XenForo Community:
As an additional incentive to adopt early, licenses bought during the beta period will have 12 months of updates and support starting from the date when XenForo 1.0 is released as a stable and supported version.

Yeah. Some developers have removed their mods/themes/icons from vBulletin.org and stopped updates/support and have moved them to XenForo. They actually have a ton of mods considering how new the software is.
 
I've always found vbulletin to be the best. I own several licenses - however, I'm a bit leery of vb 4.0.

IBP has always been #2 but I've never used it. I'm considering moving to XenForo for my next project. Only thing is there's that lawsuit.
